    Last meal of the day

    Hey Bros
It's getting a bit quiet lately on the board
So here's some kind of survey for you.
What is your last meal of the day?

In general I have some cottage cheese and peanut butter or some protein shake before bedtime, but I'd like to introduce some variation in my diet.
Could you help me by telling me what you have and how long you have it before going to sleep?
And while we're at it, which supps do you usually take at that time of the day?
Age is but a number ! a healthy diet and regular exercice can make you feel and look much younger than you really are !

5 nights it's a high protein and fat/low carb meal of some sort... eggs, cottage cheese, protein shake, etc. 2 nights a week last meal is high carb/high fat...big serving of oatmeal AND a sweet potato with butter AND a banana. Keeps the metabolism going and when doing low carb diet, which is what I do best on, I know that a carb-up meal is never more than a few days away.

OJS -Do you find having 2 carb cheat days at the weekend stimulates metab enough to have overall fat loss by the end of the week dieting over 5 days? Some folks just slightly raise carbs though I have one cheat day. By how many cals do you increase carb consumption. I binged at the weekend at a wedding but this week I can see cuts coming already??

I usually have chick fillet or egg whites/cot cheese with mvits/zma @ bedtime no carbs when cutting sometimes hunger can disrupt sleep though.

I have tried over and over to eat at bedtime and it always screw with my sleep. Wild dream, indegestion, waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back to sleep. Finaly I just gave up and decide that sleep was more important.

One thing that has worked for me is cottage cheese. I get the fat free stuff and rinse it in a strainer to get the excess liquid off which will wash away the bad carbs in the form of sugars. What's left is good protein and just enough carbs in the milk to keep the brain running so I can sleep.

Bumps from another "cheesehead" except I like the 1% milkfat kind before bed.
