Myths Review
Hi I absolutely Loved this article! Its wonderful! I'm 16/f and up until I was 13 I had been a cheerleader, soccer player, basketball player, I rode and trained horses and swam occasionally. Those were just the sports I actually belonged on a team to! But I was very toned, very thin and very happy. Well, I live on a farm and that has a bit of work to do so while in the field working some land gave way and I ended up hitting my head and got a serious brain injury and for the past 2 years was bed ridden. For the past 1 year, I have been getting back on my feet and catching up on my school work. I just recently got permission from all of my doctors to start working out again. Now I knew how to stay in shape, just now how to get in shape. Which was annoying. So I decided to research and I did. I only wish I had found your article three months ago! I have been researching and testing theories and weeding out the facts from lies and have lost a little bit of weight. But not enough to satisfy me. I hope this site will help me. I think it will. There is one thing I learned that I was surprised to not find on here. When you are not exercising you tend to feel a bit slow or down and out sometimes. I mean everyone feels that way but more than usual you know? But when you exercise you feel happy more often. And you have more energy. Well its because your emotions are really just chemicals basically that your brain creates or gives off. And the chemical sarotonin is the chemical that makes you feel happy and energenic. People with depression have a serious defficiency of this chemical. That is why they are depressed. A lot of people don't like to take pills for their depression so instead they do the best natural anti-depressant which is exercising and being in the sun. When you are in the sun your body absorbs vitamin D which is like the only place you can get it and that turns into sarotonin. There was a little rhyme my doctor told me when I asked him about this. He said he tells his patients when you're feeling unhappy and low go out and jog in the sunshine for a happy feeling and glow! So if you find yourself being depressed maybe you should just go for a walk or jogg in the sunshine breathe in the fresh air. Take your dog. They'll love it too!
