i don't like the taste of oatmeal and it fills me up too easily. i bought some Fiber One today and i like it much better and can eat twice as much of it as oatmeal. would it be ok for me to eat it instead of oatmeal?

if its the fiber one bran cereal, it seems ok as a replacement - 0 sugar and loads of fiber.
you might have some trouble with the enormous amount of fiber if you eat too much of it though :P e.g. gas."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

yeah taking fiber1 equal to the amount of oatmeal is buttloads, just mix it with some other cold cereal, or if u still want, oatmeal. i mix 1/2 cup fiber1 with uncle same cereal, tastes good and not so filling

Second as suggested above, cut your fiber one with another regular cereal such as Kashi go lean or go lean crunch, etc., if you like. Work up to the amount of fiber you get or it will have immediate undesirable affectsAug 1 - Nov 1 Comp:

[QUOTE=ironlung]First of all, Fiber One is an exellent replacement for oats.. [QUOTE]
actually, F1 is not a replacement for oats...
compare f1 = 1/2 cup is 60 cals....
oats 1/2 cup 160 cals....
f1 is pretty much ALL fiber, oats provides more of a varity....
solution: eat both
they both have a great place in a rounded diet...5'-7" [no change :(]

thanks for all the replies. i don't plan on completely cutting out oatmeal, it's just that it's the only low gi carb that doesn't require cooking, and since i don't like it too much it gets old real quick. this morning for breakfast i had half a bowl of fiber one and half oatmeal with some milk; it was actually pretty good

So, it's:

24 carb= 96 cals
2 protein = 8 cals
TOTAL: 113 calories
