Do chinups and pullups also work the shoulders - anterior, medial or posterior.

the fact that its a pulling motion I would assume it works the posterior delt.

it'd hit them more or less as supplementary muscles or stabilizer muscles. less of lateral though, more of anterior and posterior, depending on which kind of pullups/chinups you're doing (behind neck or normal).
