How long does freon last in a home air conditioner? *REPS*

Say it's on at 24/7 70 degrees. How long will this last me?

my dad is projector manager for a refrigeration company he When you first get an air conditioner the guy puts freon in it. The freon lasts indefintley. It keeps circulating. So many many years. If you have a bottle of freon hooked up to your air conditioner currently it means your air conditioner has a leak. So the bottle will be used up quickly

In my house, we first changed our freon after nine years. We changed it at the beginning of this summer but it ran out because we had a leak. With a leak, freon would only last a month or two. But if your AC unit is not broken it should last for years.

Without a leak, the freon will last for the life of your airconditioner

****. My **** has a leak in it then. Because I had the AC filter / freon replaced about a month ago and it went out after like three weeks of use.

I just got it replaced again today... **** I hope I don't have a leak.

If freon went out in 3 weeks, you have a leak. If you weren't having this problem before, maybe you can trace it back to when the technician refilled the freon, which could have sparked the leak. They usually put a chemical in freon that glows under a blacklight, so you they will be able to figure out where it's leaking.

Why did you replace the freon in first place? Whoever replaced it for you should have told you either you dont need to or you have a leak.

Edit*holy chit didnt realize this was a 10yr bump from some bs company

ur all wrong itt; every sealed system leaks refrigerant how well soldered and non-pinholed it gets from acid determines whether it’ll b a problem in 6 mo, 1 yr, 3 yr
