BEEF. how often to eat? how often is too much?

ok so i already have my own opinion about how often it is ok to eat beef. ive read many food/nutrition articles and i spent college majoring in the subject. but i wanted to get some other legit people's opinions and thoughts on this...

HOW OFTEN IS IT OK TO EAT BEEF?

things id like you to factor into your decision:

-assumption that one is eating a heathly + well balanced diet that is low in saturated fat. consumption of fish several times a week in addition to fish oil pills on the daily

    -fairly active life style

-beef consumption is almost never ground beef, typically sirloin or round cut

-cardiovascular system, maintaining a healthy heart

    thanks!

It should be your first choice of meat. Red meat, should be an everyday thing. If you buy it in local butcher, its cheap. I get 10 pounds of steak ( 5 sirloin, 5 filet mignon ) for about 50$. But if you buy at grocery, its a LOT more. So buy as much as you can.

if i could eat at home i would def include beef into my diet.. being on the run and packing all my meals in tupperware.. im stuck with the decesion between tuna, turkey, chicken, eggs.. pretty much anything i can heat up or cook fast.. so its tough for me to get red meat in my diet

i think its been like 8-9 weeks since i had a steak or some beef.. i know its scary rite?

See if you can get pasture-raised beef instead of grain fed beef. Grass fed beef is more nutritious.

you guys are much more lenient on eating beef than i predicted you would be.

i typically eat beef 2-3 times a week. i guess the main concern is cardiovascular side effects.

that means im gettin about 60 grams of fat (20-30 saturated) from beef a week.

obviously, since we're all weight lifters here, the main thing everyone talks about is "if ur fat and saturated fat is too low your testosterone drops"

Does anyone have the link to the Study done on that btw??

i was hoping to see some more articles/links to research done on this topic, havnt been able to find any worthwhile ones

you could always get lean ground beef, and make wraps with it from low carb tortillias or wraps. I like to take ground beef, cheese, diced onion and a little tomato sauce sometimes mashed/diced broccoli mix it together and either chili powder or itatilian seasonings with salt and stuff that mixture into the wrap and take it with me when i don't have time to cook or am out fishing. Taste great + you get your grains, protein, fat, dairy, and veggies all in one mmm.

Well looks like i found at least one of my meals while im out on the boat 2marrow

I belive that the fat in grass fed beef is better than grain fed beef. it is higher in CLA and eiser for your body to process.

Beef isn't going to give you heart disease, not even close. Look to the diet that's high in processed white carbs and fast foods, these have extreme negative effects on our LDL, and free radical activity. Beef is fine including the saturated fat which is mostly stearic acid and the cholesterol, eat up.
One problem is....some of our competitors suffer from excessive build quality.

10 lbs for $50 is cheap to you? You must be wealthy LOL. Our 93/7 meat is about $3.20 a lbs, but I mainly buy family packs of chicken breasts at wal-mart for around $1 a lbs.
