When it comes to whey protein sometimes you get what you pay for as Andrew Stated

Some that are on the cheaper end may not pass a 3rd party test or fall short on their label claims.
Those which you may have to pay a bit more for may pass and be reliable and a quality product.

That is not the case as sales come from time to time, but with the overall cost in raw materials the overall cost of whey protein has risen in general so you will need to pay more for a product that gives you exactly what the label states.

That's too bad. On average I'd say a serving of whey is what a tad over $1 for around 25g of protein.

At least in the states, everything I listed is cheaper for the same amount of protein.

Yes, as everyone else said, there is a huge difference. Its usually seen in the quality and taste of the protein. You don't need to break the bank buying protein powder, but go for a well respected brand. You get what you pay for.

No difference. Places like myprotein or gonutrition is a high quality protein concentrate with no stupid amino ingredients, just a couple carbs couple fat and pure protein

Read the ingredients.. If no aminos are present then it can't be spiked. It's illegal to put sonething in a product without mentioning it on the label.

I wouldn't trust the "quality" of a protein unless the company can provide test results. The costs of manufacturing protein powders have gone up, and a lot of companies are either cheating or raising the price.

My advice - find a company that has the test results to back their product, and hopefully find one that is on sale as well.

Pretty much this - i'm not sure what the market in the US is like, but it's possible in the UK and Europe to get a quality protein powder without breaking the bank or being cheated by unscrupulous companies
