The Hoverboard Thread
How many of you remember the Hoverboard from Back to the Future 2/3?
If you actually had one, would you use it or would you be bothered by all the attention and people stopping you to try it out?
What is your theory on how it works?
Any alternative theories of how to make one?
I thought about having fans kinda like the Manta in Unreal Tournament 2004.
Except 4 of them.

My friend desperately tried to convince us that hoverboards were real and could be ordered by catalog. The funny thing is he didn't really lie so he must have believed it. I bet he just saw a skateboard from the top and somehow assumed it didn't have wheels.

i would adhere small rodents or animals to the bottom of my hover-wheels and videotape them being slaughtered by the immense pressure.

if we coated all out roads with powerful magnets or some kind of electromagentic layer, we could have hover everything... it would be highly efficient too because friction would be reduced to a minimum.... you might wanna read up on something called anti-gravity though, itll get you started on that hoverboard
