Hey Everyone,
I just got back from vacationing and put on 14lbs. I was gone for 5 days and basically ate/drank sweets and BBQ and booze continuously. My body has completely transformed within the 5 days and it's really bumming the crap out of me. I've busted my ass cutting weight. I was 217lb last Wednesday and today I'm 231lb. I've attached pictures of how I looked right before the trip. I'm really choked cause now my stomach has no definition what so ever. Like I look chubby and fat and look like a completely different person.
It's so weird when last week I would shower and feel my tight stomach but now it feels all fat squishy with no firmness.
I've attached pics of me before I left - exactly a week ago.
Anyone have a similar experience and able to get back to where they were? I'm back to eating clean today and am in a calorie deficit.
Coles notes:
-5 days of eating and drinking crap put 14lbs on.
-Completely transformed from having abs to looking like porky pig.
-Advice on how to quickly rebound back.
-Anyone have a similar experience?
- 2 pics attached before to give you an idea of how lean I was because now I have no definition, absolutely none, just a round undefined stomach and puffy love handles.
I will also rep responses.

well, since you were lean before, you already know what to do...
clean your diet and work your azz off in the gym....
it takes 5 days to put 14lb but takes 2 months to get rid of it...how cool is that eh??
good luck
BTW, dont worry I am sure most of it is just water....****Patrick Bateman: Sabrina, don't just stare at it. Eat it*****

The last time I took a vacation I came back 5 lbs heavier. I too felt and looked a bit jiggly in the belly. I used this disgust I felt to fuel my ab recovery. Eat clean, drink water, hit the gym hard.
Much of the damage is probably mental.
A good chunk of the weight is mostl likely water weight from all of the salt.
Beer, to excess is def bad news. A pound of fat is only 3500 calories..Six pack of beer will run around 900-1000 calories depending on brand. So I suggest no more drinking till you get back to where you feel comfortable.

Yea, as most have already pointed out. You might be just a bit bloated and holding a lot of water weight. Hit the gym hard and work your ass off, and it will drop off pretty quick in a couple weeks or so. Keep your diet clean and don't worry too much, you'll soon go back to being lean in no time. Just don't let this get you down and stay dedicated
No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I will make sure everyone gets reps as soon as I recharge.
Today I took in roughly 2200 cals and went to the gym for an hour first thing in the morning and worked shoulders. Got home and did 1 and half hours of hiking for cardio. Kept my carbs in the 80g range. I will lower them even more tomorrow.

Update: Yesterday ate two pieces of whole weat bread for carbs and the rest was protien and fat around 2300 cals. I did legs in the monring and another 1.5 hour hike at night. Had a ****ty sleep last night and hit the gym again this morning and did squats, deads and leg press. My weight was at 223lbs. So I'm down 8lbs. I really hope this trend continues I'm gonna go for another hike after work which makes me sweat like crazy and extra hard after leg days. Tomorrow I hope to see 219lb.
PS reped everyone down the list accept the last 2 because I needed to recharge. Tomorrow I will continue repping people that have responded or plan on adding a comment.
Thanks

I've noticed that they're slowly comming back. They don't feel as soft. They are somewhat visible but near the bottom there is no definition at all. My love hanldes also seems flabby. However my arms have lots of vasculatiry and my shoulders seemed to be quite defined. I also have a vein at the bottom of my stomach that sticks out a bit in sunlight.
Thanks for all the responses guys - Reps for all!

most def water weight. 15lbs in 5 days is insane. ive been on cruises before eating and drinking nonstop and have only put on a couple of pounds, and I put on weight pretty easily.
but just as everyone else said, just hit the gym even harder and cut the carbs even lower. im sure youre plenty motivated to lose this weight, and if you put in the effort I'm guessing it wont take very long to shed it.

I think the biggest contributing factor was drinking alcohol along with the bad eating. I have gone on vacations before where I ate like crap and came home leaner as long as I didn't drink alcohol... there have been times though that I have put on 10-15lbs where alcohol was definately involved.
Lesson for next time; eat good stuff 50% of the time, and limit alcohol. The damage should be minimal.Owner, JS Fitness Solutions
