Does tricep affect resting arm size much more than bicep?

I was just thinking about this, becasue a resting arm seems to only look impressive if the tricep is build, and since bicep is extended it seems it doesn't add much to size of rested arm?

Biceps are even less of a third because you also have to count brachialis in. Yes, triceps is what really defines the size of your arm in resting position. whatever that is... if it's fully extended then of course, since in that position you have your triceps near full contraction and they tend to bulge out more.

Yes (to the original question). My arms never used to look massive, and I was one of those guys hung up on bicep training. My upper arm routine (excluding the delts) would consist of dumbell concentration curls, barbell curls, and tricep pressdowns.
Then I read and heard a few things about how the tricep makes the arm look so much bigger, and noticed how it looks so much more impressive than the bicep - after all, it looks like a horseshoe fully developed, and the bicep is just a bulge. So anyway, I added lying ez-bar extensions to my arm routine a few months back, then I started to do dips with my chest workout and as a result my arms have never looked better.
Next time some bozo asks to see your arm and expects a bicep, turn your arm around, straighten and FLEX, cos the triceps rule the upper arms.

Well technically, with what kids have been taught, the bicep has fallen into the 2/3 range and the tricep 1/3. I see so many kids my age that come to the gym and bicep curl day in and day out, atleast 3-4 times a week!

LOL, that is so true. Before I was educated with bodybuilding, I thought the bicep was the main muscle.
