ez. dont wait - start today. dont wait for a special day - start with your next meal. try to have a CLEAN eating day every day. take it one daya at a time.

You'll slip but restart immediately. plan a weekly small cheat treat or two but try to eat clean all day. clean foods. clean snacks. no plans. no schedule.

just wake up every day with a fresh start and try to eat clean for the day.

nice and slow. you'll lose and develop the skills to maintain.

To assure you will achieve your New Years fat loss resolution some things must be done.

First, you need to come up with a plan. Just saying "I am going to lose X amount of weight and cut my bodyfat to X%" isn't enough. You must decide what diet and exercise plan to use and how and when you will supplement. If you do not know how, have a question or are uncertain about any aspect of working out, supplementation or diet then come to www.bodybuilding.com. The moderators and the members are usually pretty good about answering questions. Lots of times your questions are already answered through use of the search button available on the page. Another thing you will need to do when planning a diet is make sure you make the plan as a lifestyle change and not just a quick fix. Quick fixes are bad because they are the hardest and unhealthiest to stick to and they usually have a bad rebound effect and they make you heavier then when you started after you stopped dieting.

Second, you must be consistant. Consistancy is key because nothing will get accomplished if you workout or diet off and on all of the time. Keep and maintain a schedule and only vary from it if you really have to. Also, its important to take supplements on a regular basis this really helps in getting the most out of your supplements and makes them worth the hard earned money you put into them. Always drink water! Water is great for hydration which is essential for fat loss.

Third, You only really get what you put in so by eating bad foods, skipping workouts or by only doing half intensity you are setting yourself up for failure.

Fourth, get enough sleep. A lack of sleep will wear you down and lower the intensity of workouts. Also, it may slow down your metabolism.

Fifth and final, have a cheat day. This is a day when you can eat anything you want within moderation to let your body recover from dieting all week. Its also a reward and it is good for the psyche.

When setting your goals for your New Year keep in mind that shedding tons of fat in a short amount of time isn't necessarily healthy in the long run. Slow and moderate is always the best approach. Do not set your goals too high. Saying that your going to lose 10 lbs of fat in a week is ridiculous and when you don't make the goal your probably going to get depressed and quit. Set a goal of about 2 lbs a week and that will be a good guidline. Sometimes you may lose more and sometimes you may lose less. Also, keep in mind that your probably going to hit a plateau and your going to need to step it up in the gym more to break through. Try something different whether you drop the weights and do large reps or if you just do explosive exercises instead of slow and controlled.

Diet is so important when losing fat. Keep in mind that you ARE what you eat and that if you want to eat bad you will NOT get a reduction in fat. It is very important to proportion your food and eat foods in correlation to your exercise, sleep and supplements. It is good to eat your carbs early in the day and deplete them more and more until you get none towards evening and bed time. Protein is good at every meal and you should get fiber in your diet as well. You should carry water with you at all times as it will keep you hydrated which is essential for fat loss.

Top 3 Supplements for fat loss:

    1. Caffeine/Ephedra- Stimulants are great as they speed up your heart rate and raise your metabolism. Be careful though as those with heart conditions or blood pressure issues should not take this. There ARE however some products out there that are stimulant free but have the same fat burning effect!

    2. Whey Protein- This may not sound like a fat burner and essentially thats not the purpose but it holds kind of a hidden purpose too! Muscle burns fat and guess what? Whey builds muscle! So, wouldn't it make sense that Whey helped burn fat? Certainly!

    3. Omega 3 Fatty Acids- Flax Seed Oil, Fish Oil. All of these will burn fat! Fat burns fat? I know, I know. Strange..... but true. We all need healthy fat in our diets.

I know it says only 3 but essentially you really need a Multi-vitamin or a Vitamin C & E combination to keep your immune system up. At this time your immune system really needs a boost to fight off germs and such!

Why do most people fail? They aren't consistant, they give up when they don't see immediate results, they find out that its hard work, they starve themselves and fail because they binge and most importantly they fail because they set their goals so high that they are unattainable. They look at a magazine and say "I want to look like that" but really folks. How many people truly look like that? Just a handful so those wishing to look a certain way should pick a realistic example.

The person that made the best transformation has to be the man, the myth and the legend...... Louis Dorman. I know he will be the #1 man mentioned but its the truth. He has inspired many folks to lose weight and turn their lives around.

Cool Fight For Your Right To ... Fat Loss!!!

How can one assure they will achieve their New Year’s fat loss resolution?
What is the most important factor when following a New Year’s fat loss resolution? Why?
How important is your diet? Why?
What are the top three supplements for fat loss?
Why do you think most people fail at their New Year’s fat loss resolutions?
How many times have you started a New Year’s fat loss resolution and not completed it? Why did you not succeed in those resolutions?
Bonus: Who do you think has made the most amazing transformation on the Bodybuilding.com web site?
THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR when following a New Year resolution is to PLAN. I’ve read a very important thing on the BB forums… more like a qoute :”IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN THEN YOU PLAN TO FAIL”.so where do planning starts you might ask!Planning starts at the documentation stage. So the steps are like these :
    1.Realize what you whant
    2.Set a goal
    3.Documentation (training/nutrition)
    4.Planning
    5.Doing
6.MAIBE A WONDERFUL STAGE MERELY FOR THE NON-PRO-- ENJOYING!!!!
7.MEASURING(very important – logs for your training, dimensions and even pictures!!!)
About the documentation of planning i’d like to remember to all the nubs (myself being one of them) that there is no point in reinventing the wheel. If you have a question there already is an answer somwhere out there written. For the big Q there is definetly an answer out there!.JUST CHECK the BB.com articles database.

How can one assure achieving a NY (not New York :P ) Ressolution?Well I don’t believe in resolutions.Just go for a step by step change in lifestile!!! Don’t change too much too soon cause you’ll be overwhelmed. You need to be mentally ready for this journey because it is a journey filled with pain and sacrifice only after that you’ll get the rewards.
How important is yout diet??? Well … tricky… it’s all related, strees ,diet ,work ,rest.a car has a steering sistem, engine, hood and gearbox etc.if one of them is missing is extremely dificult if not impossible to drive a car.a diet may be the all or nothing element for you.so let’s say about 40 % cause numbers don’t lie.
Why do you think most people fail at their New Year’s fat loss resolutions?
Cause they fail at every kind of resolution!!!!!It not bout the resolution it is about adopting a certain lifestyle! A kind of “I’ll never do that again” thinking isn’t going to get results and it’s a proven thruth because if you’ll do something wrong you might get on the descending slope forever.and you’ll stop even trying for a few years or even worse.
How many times have you started a New Year’s fat loss resolution and not completed it?
    I never failed because I never ended!it’s a lifestyle.
Who do you think has made the most amazing transformation on the Bodybuilding.com web site?
Louis Dorman is a candidate for no.1.i’ll continue the research.i promise.
The best supplements are a mixed protein powder with long/short digestion duration because you need control over your diet .. good control.probably a vitamin/mineral pills!!! Very important! AND PROBABLY LOTS OF WATER (extra-water more than regular being considered a supplement!).THAT”S ALL FOLKS!good luck in your training and stay in good health!
BASICS .. THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!
    In God we trust!
Sorry for my english! NOT NATIVE!

    New Years Fat loss Resolution
There are 3 things that you need if you want to achieve your New Years fat loss resolution and those 3 things are equally important and without them you would never be able to achieve your New Years fat loss goal. First of all you need a good diet. And secondly you need to be consistent. And last but not least you cannot be lazy!

    Diet
You can exercise and exercise until you get dehydrated but you are never going to lose weight if you eat a Whopper with lettuce, bacon and a free heart attack. You have to eat low calorie diets but not too low that you are depriving yourself. That sort of weight loss is not healthy. So in other words:
    The diet is very important!!!!
Why is it so important? Because when you eat your body uses all the nutrients, fats, proteins, etc. and the excess fat is all turned into storage for your body to use later on. “Well if this is how your body works how the heck am I supposed to lose weight”. Simple burn more fat then you take in and when you burn all the fat that you eat your body will need to get energy from someplace and that is your excess fat hanging over your body weighing you down and that is how you lose weight. So in common sense the less fat your diet has the more weight you can lose but if you have too much fat then your body will actually gain weight because your body has too much excess fat that you can’t burn.
Here are some good foods to eat:
    · Fish
    · Tofu
    · Wheat Bread
    · Mashed potatoes
    · All types of veggies
    · Grilled chicken
    · Brown rice
    · Shrimp

Here are some foods to avoid
    · Hamburgers from Fast food restaurants
    · French Fries
    · Cake
    · Ice Cream
    · Pizza
    · Sausages
    · Crackers

    Consistency
I don’t know how many people I see in the gym after new years who go in there 3 times the first week 2 the 2nd week and once the third week and then stops going all together. You can’t do that. If you are supposed to go to the gym 3 times a week for an hour then GO 3 times a week for an hour. Never skip out on a gym day and say you will make up for it next week, get it done and over with while staying consistent. Also your gym routine isn’t the only thing that has to be consistent you have to have a consistent diet which you will have well planned out so you know how much calories and nutrients you are going to be taking in everyday.

    Don’t be lazy!!!!!!
Lazy people are the people who order someone else to get them a glass of water. Lazy people are the ones who order someone else to get the remote. Lazy people are the people who pay 30 dollars a month for someone else to mow their lawn for them. Lazy people are the people who skips half their gym days. Lazy people are the people who leave 20 minutes before they are supposed to.

    So here’s a good advice:
Stop being lazy. Your going to lose so much weight so much faster if you aren’t lazy at home and you start doing stuff. Try mowing the lawn, Doing the dishes, Use that treadmill you spent 500 dollars on that sits there and collects dust. Don’t skip out on gym days. Don’t lower the resistance on the elipticals when you know you can do more. You only get out of your weight loss program what you put into them.

Here are other great tips on achieving your new year’s fat loss resolution:
    · Get a training partner who has the same goals as you
o A friend you know who is big boned (overweight)
o Don’t get some ectomorph that wants to build mass that just wont work
    · Bust ass in the gym and be active at home
o The gym is where you should be sweating like a pig and your house is where you should be doing a lot of stuff (vacuuming, mowing the lawn, etc.)
    · Drink a ton of water
    · Wear a sweater while doing cardio
    · Walk around while watching T.V. (this is very effective for people who watch a ton of T.V.
o How about instead of sitting on the couch for the Simpson’s you walk back in forth in your living room while watching. Doesn’t mean you have to be busting your ass just means you do some mild walking to help you be more active
o Better yet if you have a treadmill in front of your T.V. set it at a low speed level and just walk while you watch T.V.
    · Stop drinking and smoking
    · Do A lot of Cardio
    · Keep a journal of your progress
    o Take your weight
    o Body fat %
    o Arm measurements
    o Leg measurements
    o Waist Measurements

The Best supplements to use for fat loss is
    1. Nutrex Lipo 6
Great for burning fat so you get more burnt fat. Plus the cardio you do that will burn more fat that makes a win, win situation.

    2. Xyience XCFB
A wonderful product that helps block fat and can help you lose 5 pounds more than you could without it each month.

    3. Higher Power CortiShed
Cortisol makes you gain more belly fat so taking this will shed a lot of belly fat and help you lose inches on your waist.

The Reason most people fail on their goal to lose fat is:
    Laziness:
I personally believe that laziness is the biggest culprit in making people fail on their fat loss goals. If you are lazy you aren’t going to lose any weight. And let’s face it laziness is harder to get rid of then most things. Why because it is a habit and habits are hard to lose. Most likely laziness is the habit that you had for years which caused you to become overweight. So stop being lazy and you will not fail to lose weight.

The most amazing Transformation someone has made has got to be:
Louis Dorman. I was amazed by his before and after pictures and the amount of weight he lost and how he changed his life around. If you ever need some motivation his articles will help you greatly.

Thumbs up Answer: How important is fat loss to me?

Human beings usually do just what they like to do. If you enjoy eating then likely you will overeat. If you enjoy lying around on the sofa, watching t.v., etc., it's likely you will find a way to do it.

Take a picture of yourself with your shirt off. Post it on the refrigerator, mirror, in your locker, etc. If that picture makes you unhappy then do something about it!

If you can train somewhere with your shirt off--do it. It will remind you that your body is made up of more than a chest, shoulders and arms. That mid-section will get your attention and if it is not what it ought to be, that image in the mirror should motivate you to cut the calories and up the cardio.

But while you cut calories, don't cut too many too quickly. Lose a pound or two a week. Don't sacrifice protein intake. Up the cardio, but don't get too extreme. Too much cardio will use up muscle tissue.

Continue to lift weights to keep vital muscle tissue which burns calories.

Drink your daily requirement of water.

    Get your sleep.

Clean the junk food out of the cabinets.

Tell your friends and family what you are doing and ask them to help you.

Write down every calorie you eat.

Measure weekly and examine the mirror closely upon arising and in your gym.

Set realistic goals. I'm going to lose 25 lbs over the next 6 months. Short term goal would be about 4 or 5 lbs per month.

As a last measure, get into some good supplements. If you can handle ephedra, aspirin, caffiene mix--it doesn't get any better than this. Don't overdo it. Fish oils, Flaxseed, CLA, these can help.

And just what is going to motivate me to continue with this lifesyle? I really want that slim waist to accent my muscular upper body, that's what. If I want it badly enough I will do it. Feed off the compliments you will soon be receiving. Others will admire your dedication and you will stand out in the crowd.

Look around you at work or school or just on the streets. Do you really want to look like that? Get busy. Afterall, you're worth it!

    Conquering YOUR Resolutions

New Years resolutions seem to lose validity every year. You make them every time December 31st rolls around, but you lose your passion to attain those goals by January 2nd; when those resolutions, and the drive you once had to accomplish them, seem like they are months in the past rather than just a few days. This is the problem with new years resolutions. Every year you feel like you have to make them, and as a result you are setting yourself up for failure by committing to a goal that you may not be passionate about. Though there is a simple resolution to this problem.

    Priorities

This year you want to lose weight, get a better job, spend more time with your family and find a new girlfriend. The clear problem is that you are trying to do too much at one time, and this is the reason why most people fail in completing their resolutions. Am I suggesting that you forget about your other goals in favor of only focusing on one? Of course not! But what I am suggesting is that you wait until you see progress in one of your goals before beginning another. So the first step is prioritizing. Write out a list of your New Years resolutions in order of importance to you and begin at the top. Only move down the list as you begin to see progress. And also don’t think about what goes on your list. These should all be major changes that you truly want to see take place in your life. Such things you shouldn’t have to think about; you should already know.

    Conquering Your Resolution

If the first goal on your list was to lose weight, you are reading the right article. And if you have failed at fulfilling your weight loss resolution in the past, you are definitely reading the right article. The first step towards ensuring your success in losing fat is to make sure it is something you are very passionate about. Don’t resolve to lose weight just because you are over weight; do it because you really feel that you need to make a change. The second thing to do is to stay motivated. Find pictures of your ideal physique and never let those images leave your sight. This will allow you to maintain your drive and focus over the duration of the time it takes to succeed in your resolution. Finally, it is very important to have a solid plan of attack, and know how you intend on losing weight. This is the most important factor in conquering your resolution.

    Plan Of Attack

The two most important factors in weight loss are diet and exercise, with a special emphasis put on diet. Exercise can and will help you lose weight by increasing your caloric expenditure during training and by increasing your metabolic rate afterwards. But without keeping a keen watch on your diet you can easily eat enough to make up for the calories that your increased metabolism is expending. And also without a sound diet you are likely to be burning lean tissue (muscle) during your exercising along with the fat. This is a big problem because muscle tissue is metabolically active. That means that the more you have, the higher your metabolism and the easier you burn fat. Bodybuilding.com’s article database is loaded with great diet, training and fat loss information. I would highly urge anyone with fat loss resolutions to look through the database and use this great tool in constructing your plan of attack.

Supplements – The Ace Up Your Sleeve

Fat loss can be a very difficult and frustrating process. Your diet and training can be spot on, but you will time and again be faced with plateaus. It will seem like no matter what you do you can’t lose any more weight. In this instance supplements can be a great help. Please remember that supplements are not a crutch and will not make up for a lack of proper diet, but they can help to make a perfect plan better. My top 3 fat loss supplements are as follows:

    1. Sesamin – This product’s health benefits as well as its potent ability to aid in fat loss are what put it at the top of my list. Not only does it help to burn fat, but it also supports the function of your liver and kidneys.
    2. Green Tea – Prior to sesamin, green tea has been my number one. In the past I have cut notable amounts of body fat using green tea as my only fat loss supplement. Numerous studies show green tea to be effective in reducing body fat and it also functions as a great antioxidant. Much like the sesamin it is a great fat burner that is not only safe, but actually has health benefits.
    3. Caffeine – Though my third favorite fat loss product does not possess that health benefits as the others do, it is still an effective way to help you to shed some pounds. Caffeine is both cheep and effective and is very safe when not abused. Doses of 200-300mg per day have been shown to increase fat loss. Just a few cups of coffee will satisfy this requirement and help you along your way to fat loss. Just remember not to consume any caffeine too late at night, as it is a stimulant and will keep you up.
*Note that all of these products can be used in conjugation to further aid you in your quest for fat loss. Please refer to the bodybuilding.com article database for even more information on fat loss supplements and how they can be used correctly to help you meet your goals!

    It Can Work For You!

Let this year be the year that you finally say enough is enough. No more excuses, no more failed attempts. If you follow the steps above there is no way that you will not fulfill your resolution and finally lose weight! If you ever think that it may be getting too difficult and you may not be able to do it, remember that you are not alone. There are plenty of people making transformations to their physiques all the time, and it is time for you to be one of them. Bodybuilding.com’s article database is loaded with inspirational transformations – like Randy Ogle’s (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/trans7.htm) who amazingly went from 429 pounds down to 194. There is a lot of inspiration to be found in the transformation section on bodybuilding.com, and I look forward to seeing yours published one day. But until then, good luck on your fat loss resolutions and any goals that you plan on setting in the future.

Cool Here is my entry mailed by bags sent via snails horseback with long square ribbons...

TOPIC: How can one assure they will achieve their New Year’s fat loss resolution?

    -------------------------------------------------------------

If the truth be told, you can never be 100% safe or sound about anything in life. There is always change. Something will occur that will affect you either directly or indirectly. These changes which can be made by your own personal plans or achievements will pave the future you deserve.

So to transfer this idea to bodybuilding, or your new years resolutions can be tough, and many people unfortunately these days make a joke about it.
Surely as you stand there in the joyful night air, you should have some idea how you want to live the next 365 days.

So you gasp out a whole load of reasonable ideas and plans. Everyone cheers or laughs and then the evening carries on.

Now sadly these people will sleep that night, and then wake up with the faint memory that they wanted to achieve something.

Four to six months down the line it will occur to them that they did not do anything of the sort. They have wasted half the year with no true personal breakthrough. They could actually have gained even more fat.

You the person reading this now must and will not be that person!
It is disgraceful how so many people have so little focus or determination to do what should be done for a healthy and vibrant life.

How can one assure that they will achieve their New Year’s fat loss resolution?

Assurance is a big word. From Answers.com it states as•sur•ance- means Self confidence, Freedom from Doubt, even Excessive Self confidence.

This is important as you have to have confidence in the heart, mind and body to get the job done.

Con•fi•dence- means Trust or Faith in a plan, Self Assurance.

As you can see the two words tie in with each other. So you need to remember

    Self confidence
    Freedom from doubt
    Excessive Self Confidence
    Trust
    Faith
    Self Assurance

With those in your plan you should not have any excuse to fail.

Now the most said quotation when one must not forget something,or prepare and carry out a plan is:
“You should write it down and stick it on you door”
This is a very good idea.
I always have my training routine on my cupboard staring at me. It helps me to remember what has to happen that day. It is a 100% workable implement.

Especially for the New Year you will sit down and you will write down exactly what you want to happen!
Write down all of this on the piece of paper. Remember to stick it up somewhere!

    IDEAS TO HELP

A focused amount of goals which can really be achieved in the space of time you want.

-The goals must be strenuous and not so easy to achieve.

-Make the plan fun to participate in.

-Plan your life around the piece of paper.

-Be critical of yourself plus allow others to critique, but try to get judgmental people.

-Make sure you do not deviate from your plans. Put a note on your fridge or mirror to keep you perked up.

Cool did i mention bald medical patients roam the dark lands where this mail was sent via?

What is the most important factor when following a New Year’s fat loss resolution? Why?

Many factors make up any successful idea. Yet there is always a spark that lifts the whole project or plan into another scope. With your resolutions, I think this is that spark to ignite your journey.

    Ready for it?

The most important factor in it all is to simply tell other people daily of what you are doing and trying to achieve.

By doing this you will have a constant flow of people asking whether you are on your plan, and if you are staying on track. The best people for the job are nosey relatives. You will be kept on your toes to be presentable, and carry on losing fat, or achieving your plan..

I know from my own experience that I have created a personality perhaps unintentionally, at school where I am the guy to speak to about health and lifting weights.

This is helpful as I can inquire about other people’s achievements.

While they keep me going with good comments such as “hey you’re looking better, what are you doing?” or “hey you animal!”. However crude some comments can be, I welcome them, as it keeps me on my path towards my personal plan.

Remember people have conflicting views and will oppose yours many times, but if you know what you’re doing is correct and have the right information to back it up, then gladly carry on, but do listen to these people and help them as well.

It is all about helping each other. Especially with health and life, it is best to rather look at what is best for you, rather than what can make you better with side effects of any nature.

    How important is your diet?Why?

    Diet –
the great four letter word! This word will take any person and turn them into a calorie crunching, measuring machine! However, the word diet can be expanded, but keep it simple.

You do not, and should not eat celery sticks for 2 weeks and then lose a bit of water weight and muscle. No matter what some gurus say, it is just plain nonsense.
Yes, eat vegetables and all your greens, but you need to include all foods that are good for you.

You have to realize that there are many good foods, and if you eat these in moderation using your fist to estimate your portions. You will be fine if you stick to these rules that are repeated over and over.

Eat six times a day. I truly believe this keeps the metabolism burning and revved up since it processes more food in a day. Also remember that smaller amounts are more efficient!

If you want to survive your crazy food sugar cravings, then you must have a moderately “bad” meal or snack once a week, or every two weeks, depending on how you feel.
Do not, and I repeat, do not pig out and wolf down half a tub of ice cream or a few Kit-Kats! Have one bar, or have two small servings of ice cream as your cheat meal!

It is moderation and Calorie Restriction that is important. If you stick to that, then you will do famously. Calculate your bodyweight in pounds, times that by 15 for your recommended calories to stay at your current weight.

If you want to lose weight, I would recommend that for the first 4 weeks to drop the calorie count you just calculated by 300 calories.

Then when your body gets used to this then drop it 500 calories lower again in total. So if you had first dropped it by 300 then drop only by 200 more and this is regarded as safe and efficient.

    Happy Dieting!
    going full blast!

tales tell of machine creatures yet not created by man with substances so strange

What are the top three supplements for fat loss?

The supplementation industry makes more money than most top business people do in their lives. The idea which brings in the troves of cash, is that these supplements are quick fixes, or an end to your suffering and anguish.

Sadly many people buy into this, and then when they pop the pills and still look the same two weeks down the line, they simply give up. This is obviously very wrong and can be harmful.

Due to people’s stupidity, herbs like Ma Huang are banned for consumption. Yet when it was legal it was the king of fat burners.

The industry is able to do huge amounts of research and development, and thus many supplements come out that can really help you along.

I must stress again - Diet and Cardio - along with intensive weight training for 30-45 minutes will help most people. Supplements are designed to help your body to perform at its peak whether it’s for power, strength or fat loss.

There really aren’t only three supplements for true fat burning sensations and results.

The top three I would rate other than traditional Fat burners are:

    Whey protein
    Fish oil
    Water

These are well known for a healthy body and a metabolism that is fueled to burn. Remember water especially is your friend! Do not drink 8 glasses of water. It is not a good idea, and is confusing. You must get about 1 gallon of water or 3.78 litres of water a day.

You will feel refreshed, hydrated and alive.

The supplement below is Ephedrine Hcl and is perfectly legal. It is not exactly the same as the illegal one. People who use it for burning fat, recommend using ECA or just EC.
    What is that?
Well E is the Ephedrine, C is for Caffeine and A is for Aspirin. This stack works very well, but perhaps is still too powerful or nauseating for some.

Please get yourself checked by a medical doctor.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mp/vaso2.html

Stacks are good fat burners. Some are more potent than others, but can work together. For more information go to these forums.

    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16

For stand alone fat burners, this has been nominated as one of the fat loss products of the year! So obviously people like it give it a bash!

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nutrex/lipo6.html

Avant Labs SesaThin is a very good product to stack. It has helped many people, and has become a staple in their cutting diets.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/al/sesa.html

This is from the same company and does very well with the SesaThin.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/al/heat.html

I don’t choose products that contain only green tea or only caffeine since you want a synergistic amount of herbs to complement your goals. It’s all about efficiency!

Another newer company coming up in the ranks and has had good reviews on some other forums is USPlabs. They stock some very interesting compounds.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/usp/usp.htm

I am lucky enough to be a future tester, and I am proud to be one, as this company truly knows what it is doing. I would only position myself with a company that is safe, and has backed up research available at the tip of a hat. As well as a friendly owner!

The C2 Burns fat, while giving you enough energy for the day.

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/usp/c2.html

The below supplement to complement the C2 helps to burn fat while you sleep! Now I have not heard of many supplements that provide that! Plus these two products will last longer than a month. Try them!

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/usp/camp.html

With all these ideas please be careful, and do not, and I repeat do not ever go over the recommended daily allowance!

Cool safe and sound always delivered i present the final pages of this cryptic quests end

Why do you think most people fail at their New Year’s fat loss resolutions?

Pure and utter laziness is all there is to it.

You either go out there and win the race and achieve, or you don’t - it’s that simple!
There is much stress in our modern and busy world. Many people such as my father complain of not having time to eat, drink water, and not enough time to train. I say that with proper time management you can do it.

There are many bodybuilders or health conscious weight lifters out there who are blue collar (working class) fellas with long shifts and have a family with kids. Yet they are able to do all that is necessary to be a bodybuilder or power lifter while balancing their lives to their fullest potential.

You may still complain, but I know some of these guys are policeman and are either on duty for the whole day, but still find time to go to the gym, and they train, eat, sleep and drink water that could fill a river. The results are living a full social and private life, and living his passion. A great combination.

If there is a confident will there is a definite way!

How many times have you started a New Year’s fat loss resolution and not completed it? Why did you not succeed in those resolutions?

I have never truly had a New Years Resolution besides to get stronger or lose fat with more muscle gains. With the help of this site I live these resolutions, and now am at where I once used to dream. So for the New Year, I always look to better myself physically. That’s all I aspire to do. Yes it is good to want to do better at school and so on. My biggest goal I keep in my head, is to pass high school and to further improve my anatomy.

Bonus: Who do you think has made the most amazing transformation on the Bodybuilding.com web site?

There truly is not only one Transformation to deserve a place here. I will categorize instead the top three and why I think so. The true meaning of a transformation is not only changing ones body dramatically, but also their lives, and how they are affected, and how they affect others that it helps to see who is best.

    1.) http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/trans49.htm

The reason I have this guy at first, is that I have a friend of mine who looks a lot like Josh Hopkins (the guy who transformed his body and life). I wish I could see him change himself such as this young man did. It is truly incredible. What I find most interesting is his facial difference - it’s amazing.

    2.) http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/trans2.htm

This guy deserves second as he changed his life around in one single year! That is incredible, and it shows that if you want something bad enough, it will happen if you work hard enough. Then to go compete is even better, as the self confidence has obviously raised ten fold.

    3.) http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/trans3.htm

He is third due to his change in looks. It is flabbergasting! From an overweight fisherman, to a competing bodybuilder at 51 years of age is no easy feat and deserves this place.

Well done to all these characters. What each and every single one of these dedicated people have shown, is that it is possible for absolutely anyone to look good and youthful.

How Can One Assure They Will Achieve Their New Year's Fat Loss?

    Intro

It's that time of year again. You've finally decided to buckle down and lose that spare tire for '06. Before you set out to attain your goal of a slimmer and leaner you, some basics must be discussed to keep you on track with your fat loss goals! Read on to find out how to achieve your New Year's fat loss with ease!

Sticking to your New Year's Resolution

If I had a nickel for every time an individual made a New Year's resolution lose the spare tire, but gave up only after one month of training, cardio, and strict diet, I'd have a lot of nickels. The fact of the matter is that most Americans give up on their New Year's resolution after only 1-3 months. I recall reading in a fitness magazine that only 20% of Americans keep their New Year's resolutions. The main reason that most New Year's resolutions fail within a short period of time is that they are too time consuming and rather extreme. Think about it. Are you really going to stick a resolution that consists of depriving yourself of the things you love? I didn't think so! With these simple steps, you will find it easy to attain your New Year's fat loss resolution!

    Be Realistic!

Choose an attainable goal that is realistic. Doing so will help you stick with your goal more so than if you set a goal which was unrealistically high. Remember, it is just as important not to set goals too low. Most folks tend to set their goals too low when they are afraid of failure. Think about it. Nobody is going to put serious effort into achieving a goal that they believe is unrealistic from the start. It's always best to chose an attainable goal, as this will guarantee a greater chance of accomplishing and sticking with your goal!

    Create a game plan!

Create a plan of attack! Before embarking on your journey to fat loss, write out a detailed and comprehensive game plan. Be sure to write out and describe your goal, the specifics, and how you are going to achieve it! Writing down your game plan will strengthen the likelihood of you sticking with your goal of fat loss!

    Take Smaller Steps!

Make your goal of fat loss much less intimidating by taking smaller steps. Rather than resolving to lose 25 pounds, resolve to eat healthier, workout at the gym more often, and peforming cardiovascular activity more frequently. Basically what you're doing is dissecting your ultimate goal into much smaller pieces, and conclusively setting a plethora of smaller goals to achieve throughout the course of the year that will aid you in accomplishing the ultimate goal - fat loss!

    Be Kind to your body!

Be kind to your body, and reward yourself with each accomplishment. After 1 month of sticking with your resolution, feel free to reward yourself! Indulge into your favorite pie, pizza, cake, or whatever you feel like! Just remember, moderation is key! Rewarding yourself frequently will also guarantee that you will stick with your resolution for a longer time!

What is the most important factor when following a New Year’s fat loss resolution? Why?

The most important factor when following a New Year's fat loss resolution is consistency. Although diet and exercise play a big role in determining your results, consistency will make or break your New Year's fat loss resolution. If you're consistent with your workouts and diet, you're going to see quick results. Seeing those results in the mirror will provide you with a great feeling of accomplishment, and chances are you will work harder and harder to get that ultimate physique that you always wanted!

How important is your diet? Why?

Diet is very important. I'm sure you probably heard the phrase, "you are what you eat" before, and I completely agree with this phrase. Watching your diet is the second most important factor when following a fat loss regimen (consistency being first). Watching what you eat and counting calories gives you much more control over your goal. By sticking with whole grains, healthy fats, and lean proteins the majority of the time, you are not only decreasing your waistline, but also promoting better overall health. Below is a list of healthy complex carbohydrate choices, healthy fat choices, and lean protein choices!

    Complex Carbohydrates
    • Brown Rice
    • Oatmeal
    • Cream of Wheat
    • Whole grain Bread
    • Whole grain Pasta
    • Fruits
    • Vegetables
    • Whole grain and High Fiber Cereals
    • Potatoes
    • Beans
    • Lentils

    Healthy Fats
    • Olive Oil
    • Salmon
    • Avocado
    • Nuts
    • Seeds
    • Fish
    • Natural Peanut Butter

    A word on "Refeeding"

Most bodybuilders and athletes refer to straying away from your usual diet as "cheating." I don't like to look at it that way. I feel as if "refeed" is a better word choice to call it. A refeed is simply eating more than your caloric allowance when dieting for physiological purposes, and as a way to reward yourself! A refeed will boost your metabolism and will serve to replenish depleted glycogen stores, which will ultimately increase your energy levels and fuel your workouts so you can train harder!

It's best to refeed on carbohydrates, seeing that when one diets for a prolonged time, leptin levels drop, which causes the metabolism to slow down. As a result, appetite increases and weight loss hits a plateau. By simply refeeding on carbohydrates from time to time, leptin levels are increased, and weight loss continues!

What are the top three supplements for fat loss?
    • 1. SciVation Sesamin

Sesamin is an unbelievable product! It is very popular on bodybuilding.com's supplement forum, and the reviews have been amazing so far. Derek Charlebois recently published an article on bodybuilding.com entitled "Bye Bye Fatty," in which he discussed the endless benefits of sesamin:
    • Increases thermogenesis
    • Increases fat oxidation
    • Up-regulates "fat-burning" enzymes
    • Decreases fat storage
    • Down-regulates "fat-storage" enzymes
    • Increases insulin sensitivity
    • Increases ketone formation
    • A fuel used when dieting
    • Spares glucose
    • Potent antioxidant
    • Cholesterol reducer
    • Increases HDL levels
    • Decreases LDL levels
    • Decreases blood pressure (antihypertensive)
    • Improves liver and kidney health
    • Anti-inflammatory
    • No stimulant effect

SciVations Sesamin can easily be purchased at bodybuilding.com's very own cyberstore : http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sv/ses.html
    • 2. Designer Supplements Lean Extreme

Designer Supplement's Lean Extreme is also an unbelievable product with countless benefits and fat loss properties. It is a superb supplement for fat loss, as it controls cortisol levels which may be unreasonably high depending on your lifestyle. Cortisol allows your body to store fat in the most stubborn places, and also breaks down your hard earned muscle tissue. By supplementing with Lean Extreme, you won't have to worry one bit about cortisol destroying your physique!

Designer Supplement's Lean Extreme can easily be purchased at bodybuilding.com's very own cyberstore: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/design/lean.html
    • 3. Fish Oil

Fish Oil is an overlooked product in the realm of fat loss supplements. Omega-3, naturally occurring in fish oil supplements, are rather vital for overall good health, and body composition. Most users recognize a decrease in adipose tissue (fat cells) with a dosage of around 6g daily, given your diet and exercise programs are in check!

Fish Oil products can be purchased at bodybuilding.com's cyberstore:

random thoughts and well wishes to all

Dear fellow forum members, a funny thing has happened tonight. My isp crashed just as I was posting. After 30 minutes on hold I was told that there was an outage in my area, tough luck.

    Between my son the jarhead, and myself, we found a telephone cord and connected the modem and debased ourselves with aol. What follows is not so much an entry in the topic of the week, but a greeting and warm wishes for a joyfull holiday to all. ;

How can one assure they will achieve their New Year’s fat loss resolution?

You can make a goal, and hold yourself accountable for it's achievment. One can come to bodybuilding.com and seek support from this strong community.

In my own case, I will think of my son serving his country in the Marines and the sacrifices he is making. I will come to the forums and draw support as I try to help others. Like they say in Alchoholics Anonymous, I alone can do this, I cannot do it alone.

What is the most important factor when following a New Year’s fat loss resolution? Why?

The most important factor when following a New Years Resolution is persistency. You can't lose if you don't quit.

How important is your diet? Why?

Diet is critical. Bodies are built in the kitchen not the gym. It is commonplace for people to transform their appearance with portion control (or gastric bypass) and little or no exercise. It is very rare for anyone to make signifigant progress through exercise and a poor unchecked diet.

What are the top three supplements for fat loss?

Nutrex lipo 6, yohimbine, yerba mate. (just not all at once )

Why do you think most people fail at their New Year’s fat loss resolutions?

Most New Year's fat loss resolutions are wishes verbalized under the lack of inhibition provided by holiday libations. Wishing does not make any difference. Desire, faith and persistence are needed along with other factors. Wishing out loud may not be enough.

Who has not heard the saying, wish in one hand....

How many times have you started a New Year’s fat loss resolution and not completed it? Why did you not succeed in those resolutions?

More times than I can count. I failed because stating a positive goal for validation from your peers is not the same as fostering a desire and working tirelessly for it's attainment.

Bonus: Who do you think has made the most amazing transformation on the Bodybuilding.com web site?

Visually, MaryAnn Mayer. Is that what really counts though?. Every time I hear about somebody who has changed from a negative lifestyle to a positive one, and see the support they find here, it is amazing. Which miracle is the greatest? Who am I to judge?

Good luck to Mike, Dallas68, and everyone else who posted. Wishing you all happy holidays. Perldog and dog 2.0 from the shack in the swamp - Peace and goodwill

Thanks D, but actually, the post is all I was going to put up this week. My son is home unexpectedly for the holidays, and I just wanted to wish everyone well. It was just ironic that I meant to post by midnight and my cable isp crashed over a good portion of the eastern U.S. promptly at 11:15 , just as I hit the preview button.

But thankfully, we were able to get around it and post what I had to say, and even a few minutes before midnight. No Worries . The worst thing is for a old perl programmer (dog = god backwards ) and linux geek to have to use AOL HARRRRRR!!!!!!!! ........ But thanks for your words.

This is my week to enjoy your article

How can one assure they will achieve their New Year’s fat loss resolution?

New years resolutions – it’s a new year, a time for change. But most of us put so much pressure on ourselves, and view our resolutions as do or die, that we are basically setting ourselves up for failure. In this artice I will teach you how to relax your beliefs, what really constitutes a good weight loss program and bust all the myths about weight loss.. If you are interested, read on.

What is the most important factor when following a New Year’s fat loss resolution? Why?

The single most important factor to almost anything you do is your own mind. To say its very powerful is a strong understatement. The mind is center of the human body, the first place that dictates your every action.

Your mind isn’t on its own; when your mind isn’t right, that means everything else will likely fall behind too. When it comes to keeping a resolution, such as weight loss, this means slowly loosing touch of what’s important.

Of all the emotions the mind is capable of, I would say guilt is the one that is most influential towards whether you achieve your goals or not.

I’ll paint the picture of the way it is for many; you’ve set yourself a goal to loose weight, and you know you’ve failed before. You have these doubts lingering at the front of your mind as whether you can actually do it. Then your invited two weeks later to a function. You know it will last all day and there will be enough food to feed a whole city.

When you do eat something, even something as small as a piece of cake, you start to feel the failure kicking in already, you feel this terrible feeling starting to consume you, a feeling that is strong enough to actually convince you your thoughts are valid. Reality check: it was only one day! Maybe just one meal!

It’s important to keep in mind that these situations are inevitable, and you can only do your best in terms of what your situation allows. But for so many these situations, or more so, the emotions behind them, can make them or break them.

Now I’ll paint another picture: An image of the self-assured man, the man who knows his limitations, a man who accepts mistakes and the fact he is only human like the rest of us.

He also attended the same function. He is probably the best in shape in the whole room. He is the guy looks at this day as something he can’t control, he doesn’t apply unreachable standards on himself so when he does eat something bad, he doesn’t feel like a failure, he feels relaxed and under control. He is able to enjoy his meal knowing he is only a human. This is the man I will hopefully teach you to become in this article.

You should learn to think in terms of what’s realistic, and what’s not. Learn to set your sights on a goal that is within reach. If you adopt this mind-state, failures won’t come by so often and you will learn to focus on more on your accomplishments rather than downfalls.

Any professional psychologist or self-help guru will tell you the best thing anyone can do when wanting to achieve their goals is to take small, achievable steps. To break down your task into smaller parts, and tackle each individually. Focus is the key; not getting distracted by unnecessary detail. Its all about looking at the big picture, rather than obsessing about those things that really do not matter.

How important is your diet? Why?

Your mind is most important, but if you know nothing about diet, your not going to get anywhere. Your diet and supplementation is the foundation of any weight loss program. Cardio is important, but nutrition is the king.

Why? Your body needs to maintain a constant hormonal environment that will ensure stable energy, mental concentration and fat-burning. These are hormones that your body needs to loose weight, and can only be produced in sufficient amounts when your diet and supplementation is in-check.

A lot of people don’t realize one of the reasons they aren’t loosing weight when they think are doing everything is because they aren’t getting enough nutrients that help the fat-loss process. You can eat a strict low calorie diet, but calories are only one component – there is also your hormonal, neurotransmitter and thyroid function to consider as well.

When you don’t eat a balanced diet, you aren’t putting yourself in a state that is conductive to weight loss. This means any stupid fad diet or eating far too little is definitely not the right approach. You are missing out on all the things your body needs, and you’ll know by all the cravings your body gets.

Most of you should already know the basics of diet and weight loss: calorie control, choosing healthier foods, the importance of protein and unsaturated fats; but if your getting started its hard to find your way around when there is a lot of conflicting information out there. I’ll try and do my best at summarizing the dietary components of fat loss in an easy to follow table.

Under the first heading, I’ll advise the things I recommend, and in the second part, what I think you should avoid:

    What to do.

Control calories. Eating less is not always better. The quality of your nutrition has more of an impact than the amount you eat. Your daily caloric intake should be based on your current weight, activity level and your current daily caloric intake.

Eat plenty of protein, moderate fats and carbs. Don’t believe that eating fat will mean automatically mean fat gain, its not that simple. Essentials fats actually help loose weight in several ways. Protein does the same by controlling appetite and hormonal function. Carbs aren’t something you should avoid altogether either, they are needed for fuel for exercise. Balance is basically the key.

Don’t avoid supplements. In my opinion the whole dieting program has to contain every aspect – cardio, supplements, the mind and nutrition in order to work well. Supplements will cut the time of your whole dieting process in half. Always choose carefully. In the next section I’ve recommended some good fat burning supplements, and other supplements that I know work, I’ve seen the results.

And to put it altogether, never ignore the importance of your own mind.

    What not to do:

Think that the only way to loose weight is to eat less. This is an age-old myth. People who usually follow this approach don’t ever maintain their weight loss, end up binge eating and having virtually no muscle mass. Following a more healthier balanced plan, loosing and maintaining your weight is both easier and more enjoyable.

Go on any stupid craze diet like a diet a celebrity is following. These are ridiculous. What works for one person does not mean it will work for you. Most of these diets are incredibly unhealthy, and force your body to work in a way it’s really not supposed to.

Don’t over-train. This is a common mistake of anyone who is trying to loose weight. This stems from the same belief, ‘the more/or less you do, the better your results’. People need to think in terms of quality, not quantity. Quality of diet, quality of supplements, quality of cardio. Overtraining can be very dangerous, especially for those who aren’t used to physical activity.

The importance of macronutrients and micronutrients in weight-loss:

Protein and fats:. Protein contains essential amino acids like L-cartinine. With a l-cartinine deficiently, weight loss is virtually impossible. Protein also curbs appetite in many ways. Firstly, it contains amino acids such as trytophan that convert into neurotransmitters in the brain that regulate appetite, and control emotions that can lead to binging. Other amino acids act on all types of hormones that are involved in metabolism of fats, thyroid gland and energy levels. These are all vital components towards any success in dieting.

Both protein and fat also stabilize glucose levels, which thereby control the amount of insulin the body secretes. When the body secretes too much insulin, fat gain is usually one of the results, as well as releasing too much cortisol.

Supplements: Ensure you are getting all your supplements needs met. By putting your body under the demands of hard training, something a beginner isn’t used to, you need to make sure your getting all the nutrition your body needs. This can be hard to achieve when most people work from 9-5, and have busy lifestyles. I’m like most of you, so I know its hard.

So I use supps… its that easy. A beginner needs bigger doses of particular vitamins, like B-vitamins, antioxidants and omega 3’s that aren’t attainable in food alone. I didn’t take any note of this when I began training, so hopefully you don’t make the same mistake.

This is a basic supplement program I’d recommend for any beginner looking to loose weight.

    Multivitamin
    B-vitamin complex
    Antioxidant
    A Fat Loss Supplement
Ready To Drink Shakes – for whenever they are out and about and meals aren’t always right there in front of them.

What are the top three supplements for fat loss?

Protein powder: I know, it’s not a direct weight loss supplement, but its importance in weight management can’t be overstated. A lot of weight loss supplements are temporary, but protein is forever. It’s something your going to need to not only loose weight, but keep it off.

There are many good protein powders and drinks available at the bb.com store. I recommend bb.com’s best seller 100 % optimum whey protein.

For a ready to drink shake, either Cyto-Sport Muscle Milk, or Myoplex shakes are a great way to meet your protein requirements when you don’t have access to freshly cooked meals.

Fat-burners: These come in many forms. Many are a balance of several carefully selected ingredients to target your fat loss from more than just one angle. This is good because the cause of fat loss is different for many people.

Nutrex Presents: Lipo 6: Bodybuilding.com fat loss product of the year. This supplement is great. It utilizes specific receptor site targeting, meaning that it will target those stubborn areas like the stomach and glutes for females.

Now mega hoodia; This is a great supplement aimed especially at suppressing the appetite. It works by increasing specific neurotransmitters that have a role in sending signals to your brain to let it know that you aren’t hungry.

This is great for beginners because one of the hardest problems when starting a new diet is being able to let go of the food you have become accustomed to eat.

Why do you think most people fail at their New Year’s fat loss resolutions?

After a while, people get themselves in a rut. It all begins when one small, minor thing goes wrong, and it feels like the world crumbles down. Then you start to loose track of what you really want; negativity consumes you and so does guilt: eating well doesn’t seem as easy, you stop buying supplements and frequently miss training sessions.

Before you know it, you slip off and loose sight of your goals. All because of a few mistakes, which are destined to happen. Stop at that moment when you do make a mistake, compose yourself, maybe breathe for a few seconds, and realize, ‘hey I’m not really as far behind as I think I am’.

Using a diary is a great idea. Here you can set your short and long term goals which will keep your mind on your goal. It allows you to continually track progress and gives you a basis for evaluation. After only a few weeks you begin to see your achievements unfold on paper in front of your eyes. Here you can just soak it all in, really feel your achievements.

My goal was to bench to 250 last year. I kept looking over my training log, and saw each week I was getting stronger. It was a gradual thing, but there was always a feeling of continually moving forward. A lot of the time you can be overly harsh yourself and fail to see what extent you’ve already come.

Keep your goal at the front of your mind. Wherever you are, repeat it to yourself. Have the commitment to know that you will do what you can to achieve it. Compose yourself in a situation, and ask yourself, ‘is my decision conductive to my weight loss goals?’.

Most importantly, don’t loose sight. After a while it’s natural to loose your vision, that big picture at the back of mind of what you really want. If u sit down, for only 10 minutes a day, and see yourself in your minds eye going to gym – picking up your speed rope for cardio with an amazing energy, preparing and eating all of meals, taking all of your supplements, this will continually reinforce what’s important.

How many times have you started a New Year’s fat loss resolution and not completed it? Why did you not succeed in those resolutions?

Personally, I have never stopped eating well, or stopped during a diet, but there have been times I felt 100 percent sure I was going to. I ask myself how did I do it? What makes me different? Then I realized one reason was my constant effort to remain in a positive mind-state. I can be as negative as the next person, but I always made sure I didn’t let it consume me. When you make a mistake, its important to march on. I just kept eating well, kept training hard and taking supplements.

What it made it easier was to not let one slip when the other did. If your mind isn’t right, it’s easy to say “stuff diet, I don’t feel good”. It’s important to first acknowledge that a time of failure, anything you are feeling is basically false, or overly exaggerated. Then I would use this negative to my advantage by training twice as hard, and especially not letting my diet or supplement regimen slip.

Another reason I think I succeed is because i look into doing things conviently. Life doesn’t always put us in the perfect situation – we know we should eat 6 small meals a day, but how can we do it perfectly when we work 9 til 5? A cycle begins and you feel bad every time you are unable to eat a meal. “Six meals a day is impossible”, so a lot of people won’t even bother, or just give up.

People don’t realize that there are easier ways around things like not eating six meals a day. RTD shakes are one answer, like cyto sport Muscle Milk. Looking into raining HIT in the gym is another. By doing things this way you won’t let your goal slowly slip away.

“I still don’t have enough time!”. You only need 45 mins max. 4 times a week training like this. A lot of bodybuilders live of 4 protein shkes a day between meals, cos they have lives like all of us, so anyone who thinks they need 8 meals a day, or to train 2 hours a day in the gym to grow, really need to relax their beliefs.

Bonus: Who do you think has made the most amazing transformation on the Bodybuilding.com web site?

There has been a few. I have seen A LOT of guys on the message boards post up pics and it can be really inspiring just to look over them. If you ever have any doubts about whether your weight loss goals will amount to anything, I recommend doing a search on the forums for transformations, or check out their weekly transformation section.

I was actually looking at the boards on night late last month and came across this guy on the post your pics forum. I couldn’t believe how much weight he lost. It wasn’t only his body, but his whole appearance that changed. Posture became upright and you could tell just by pics that he was a better off person.

I can’t overstate how important it is to have all areas of weight loss in check. Supplementation, diet, cardio and your mind. Be sure to adopt some of the ideas in this article into your own weight loss routines.

On a final note, enjoy your food. Don’t be too strict. No one is perfect, and mistakes are always going to happen. Just remember, one bad meal won’t affect your weight loss goals, but your mind can. Keep track of your progress, stay focused and train hard.

    Good luck.
