    Cool Swimming

Hey I was just woundering how many ppl here swim competetively like high school, college, or a swim club. I myself am a swimmer and weight training/bodybuilding has really been helping me. If there are any other swimmers in here maybe you could tell me your experience with swimming and lifting. I just hope I am not the only swimmer here.

    Cool

    Awesome!
Sounds like one heck of a workout I can't really relate to the running and how hard that is but the pullups look like a good goal and that 2 mile swim looks like it could be one intense and long swim(espically if you wanna make that progress in a year). Good luck!

I wanna hear how your progressing I read that article on the navy seal workout and it looks hard but I bet it could get you in the best shape of your life.

    Smile

Hey H2POLO those are some pretty good times.
Since I am getting rdy for my summer season my main event is the 50. I havn't been making the progress in it I had wished I think my best time for it is around 27.70 but I think I might be able to improve this summer with some of the stuff I have been reading up on. I am gonna base my summer plan on high intensity but short practices after reading the Anabolic Aerobics article by Eric Satterwhite. It was really interesting and I think by swimming in the right intensity and recovering I can build the optimal muscles for swimming. I also emailed Eric and he told me about a study where swimmers who tappered down while increasing intensity actual grew muscle. He said shoulders had a dramatic effect also. But I am still looking into the specifics of putting this training program together but I would like to get my 50 time down a whole secound this season so I will have to work pretty hard no matter what.

By the way I am just finishing my sophorme year in highschool. So my next season I will be a junior. This awesome though that there is another swimmer here. I thought there might be one or two people who use swimming for cardio but never thought there would be competitors.

    Well good luck swimming!!!
