Complex and Fibrous Carbs!
Ok I posted this in the losing fat section but should have been put in Nutrition. I got no replys on this so I figured I would post in here. Would it be ok to cut out all Complex carbs and just stick to fibrous carbs for losing weight?

Sure; That's pretty much how I eat 99.9% of the time anyway. Meat, veggies, rinse repeat.

You need to make your diet with sustainability and lifestyle in mind.
Eating what you suggested is great for competing and fat loss. But do you want to forever cycle diets or eat for a healthy lifestyle and gradually lose weight?
If you can eat fibrous carbs and protein sources only, then this diet will get you shredded and keep you that way.

I did that for a long time, and yes i lost alot of fat, but it also had a negative effect on my energy level or endurance, since the body gets most of its energy mainly from 'starchy' carbs rather than 'fibrous' carbs. and you need plenty of muscle energy (glycogen) to have a good training session.
I guess if you cut them out, just pay attention to your energy levels and tailor your starchy carb intake from there?

Some people do well on these types of diets. Just keep your fats up for energy, but it may not be the same. You will definitely lose weight if you can maintain it. I'm not sure but I think they do diets like this on keto.

Assuming when you say fibrous carbs, you mean just veggies, then it sounds like the old Atkins Induction Week. With wilpower you might be able to sustain this for quite a while but its not healthy. Getting all of your carbs from just fibrous veggies can uncover kidney problems for some people. Those people are just prone to this kind of problem but never know about it until it surfaces, by which time, you're already sick. And your energy levels will suck after a while.
You might do better with a keto diet if you feel that's how you want to eat. It does include some complex carbs but I don't know much about it. There's a whole keto forum here and some of the good fols on this forum eat that way and thrive on it ........... where's Minotaur when you need him .........

Well I would eat complex carbs before weightlifting for the energy.
