Overtraining Questions/Recovery

I have been experiencing the following symptoms:
Loss of motivation, fatigue, soreness, loss of strength (all my lifts are going down), trouble sleeping, and abnormal hunger

I'm fairly sure that i am overtraining.

1)Is it a good idea to take a week off?
2)How should i eat during the next week?
3)Should i cease cardio or just weight training (if anything)?
4)The following week, should i reset and start with lower weights, working my way back up to where i was?

1) It's a great idea

2) Same as usual--your body is supercompensating during this time and it needs food.

3) Sure, you've prolly been doing cardio forever and a day without a break. Just take it easy for a week.

4) Lower weights? No, you'll come back stronger---you can go ahead and add 5lbs to heavier lifts.
