Insulin Resistance and Contest Prep?

Hello!

Anyone here have insulin resistance and has competed?

I started this endeavor in DECEMBER... trying to lose fat for a while, then trying to gain muscle, now trying to lose fat again (bad coach experience - long story!!!).

My body does NOT want to lose fat. I have a wonderful coach that is trying her best but I need to start tapping more resources for answers if I really want to do this.

I tried a keto diet with minor success. I just banged out 2 weeks of double 45 min sessions of cardio and lost NO fat.

AAAHHHH!!!! Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Ok. first thing is you need to go out and buy a glucometer. Thats the ONLY thing that can tell us whats going on involving insulin resistance. Then I'll introduce you to GLUCOSE DISPOSAL AGENTS. They are in any health food store. There are two I swear by and have had such success to the point where I have taken diabetics off insulin. I need to know your diet EXACT GRAMS of protein carbs fats and the source of each.
That will get us started.

I will order a glucometer online in the morning or I assume you could probably buy one at any pharmacy?

The diet I've been doing for the past 4 weeks (counting trace macros):
P: 267 C: 32 F: 117

Protein: whey, salmon, chicken, eggs
Carbs: only trace carbs
Fat: olive oil, natty pb, egg yolks (omega-3)


My new diet I start Sunday (again counting traces):
P: 242 C: 121 F: 17

Protein: tuna, chicken, egg whites, whey, white fish
Carbs: 50oz fibrous, the rest is debatable. Most slower digesting carbs don't sit with me well. I was thinking I might stick to rice cakes and shredded wheat unless I'm really hungry. I might attempt oats or rice then.
F: only trace fat

Friday +20g carbs, Saturday -ALL carbs but have 1 cheat meal, Sunday -10g carbs

Go to the pharmacy. Buy a bayer assencia. How much do you weigh? What % body fat? I'm NOT a fan of these high fat keto diets. They end up being worse for your condition in the end cause your body adapts to the low carbs then when reintroduced it has to handle a glycogen load when it hasnt had to for a period of time. Post a pic or send to my email. Do you have AOL? Maybe IM would be easier. Im tipsta17. You can e mail me there.
