Got it today, figure all hyrdrozied whey, looks good, tastes worse then dishwashing soap (Fruit Punch flavor).
Worst protein ever. Tried w/ fat free milk and water in blender...horrible, too bad I just lost $29 bucks that I will never get back.
Nasty nasty nasty.

I purchased the AST VP2 Chocolate Whey... It's OK... nowhere near as good as a lot of the other brands out there. I just mix a scoop of the AST protein with a scoop of Syntha-6 or Dymatize Elite or whatever.
Not sure what the heck you could mix with Fruit Punch to lessen the taste, maybe vanilla?
Good Luck, just don't chuck it, it still works (unless of course you're beefing it up everywhere, then chuck it).

its hydrolyzed whey, its known to taste somewhat bitter. its more optimal post workout than syntha 6 because VP2 is a fast acting whey as opposed to syntha-6 and lean dessert which are combinations of faster and slower acting proteins.
post workout i would stick to whey isolate or hydro
any other time syntha 6 is delecious

I picked up the Double Rich Chocolate on a whim while looking for something different...
For me, I should be mixing 3 scoops with 18oz of water. Completely bland, tasteless, almost like drinking slightly grainy water. So I toyed with the ratio and it actually tastes pretty decent at 4 scoops with 10oz of water.
Just too bad I'm taking in more of it than I need to.

old bump, but says who. im sick of hearing this.. you have no valid arguement. wheres the proof backing up that stictly whey is optimum post workout and that it shows significant gains and what not?
where do people get this from?
im not saying you're wrong, but you have no grounds for argument with **** like that..
i would give an analogy but ill assume you're smart enough to get my point.

if you just want protein after you workout why dont you just eat a big meal. having a whey/carb shake post workout also allows you to fit more calories into your postworkout window which alone would give better results without proof.
u can 2 scoops of ur syntha 6 which would give you 400 cal.
u can have 30 grams whey/ 40 grams carbs = 280
then u will need to eat within the next hour which u wouldnt do with syntha 6 or another meal repleacement.
45 in after first shake ill have 3/4 cup of oats 1/12 cup skim milk 1 scoop whey and a banana = around 500 cal.
that right there would give u more results being that your gettin 750-800 calories that are very usable within the first hour of working out, or u can 400 cal from syntha 6.
and its not just about downing calories its about the use of the calories or gettin the nutrients to help recvoer

u are a genius........if it is a blend of protein what good would eating 30 minutes or an hour later as u would still have protein breaking down up to 3-4 hours after a syntha 6 shake.
people eat every 2- 3 hours for a reason, utilization of nutrients.would u eat a piece of chicken and have steak 30 minutes later. if you say yes slap yourself.

I'd recommend mixing that flavour with water only so it's more like a fruit drink. I've also started adding 1 tsp of gatorade powder for post workout which makes it taste even better.
My general rule of thumb is creamy flavours (i.e. Vanilla, choc etc) go with milk, flavours like lemon, tropical, berry etc go with water.
