only time i hit myself is when i am doing bb shrugs. it kinda sucks so i end up leaning forward. most the time i don't have a problem cause with all the blood in my muscles there isn't much left for that area. i mean yeh there is i am hung like a horse. what???

only time ive seen this happen was with a bar that wasnt well secured doing T-bar rows. that and the guy was holdin it too far down.
