Benoit never got lazy in the ring and always gave the fan's all he could give. He was able to keep up his stiff and high-paced style even at 40 year's old. There are a lot of wrestlers who can not say the same.
While some wrestlers use wrestling to move onto other careers, Benoit was a pro-wrestler first. I greatly admired him for that.

Being a double murderer and a coward to boot negates whatever positive there may have been.
The guy should never be idolized in death like he was mistakenly idolized in life.

Benoit always told a story in the ring. You always knew he'd put on at least a 3* match, regardless of who he was wrestling.
Who ever he wrestled, he managed to put them over.

Guys please, I agree that what he did was terrible but can you just PLEASE let those of us who wish to remember the good in him do so. Maybe you don't understand that some of us idolized him and maybe we just need to talk about how he has inspired us, so we can feel a little better about his death.
If you want to go on and say bad things about him, please do it in another thread.Back in action.

Could you please show a little respect for us who are trying to feel a little better about this whole situation? I have shown respect for your opinions and I would appreciate it if you would show a little respect for mine and others'

Here's a few of my greatest Benoit moments:
His rivalry against Kurt Angle when he took his medals
His TLC match when he was tag champs with Jericho
WMXX when he finally won the gold
His great matches with Austin, Jericho, Angle, HHH and Michaels, and so many others...he never had a terrible match, they were always great, no less then 3 stars..
He was a class act, I refuse to accuse him of a murderer until there is any REAL proof here, how can investigators say he strangled his wife and son then hung himself just like that, sure there are clues but is plenty of possibilities to look at here...so far I would like to believe that there was no killing involved and that this was a poisonning...

We aren't honoring him as a murderer, we are trying to remember him as a wrestler. Guys I am asking you to please not bash him in this thread. Go in another thread and do it, but I just ask you to leave this thread for people who want to remember Chris Benoit as a great professional wrestler. Please, if not out of respect for Benoit, do it out of respect for fellow wrestling fans who wish to remember good things about someone who was a hero to us.

Yeah but to some of us, Benoit was a hero. That is the difference. I wish you guys would just understand that and stop bashing him, at least in this thread.

I'm not here trying to argue that what he did was right, because in no way was it right. I'm here trying to remember with others the good he is doing in his life, all I ask is for you guys to not bash him in here. Now please, if you have to keep bashing him, do it in another thread and I'll be glad to talk about it there. Here, I just want to hear positive things.

Wow. Have you no consideration for those of us who want to remember some good in the guy? I told you, I know what he did was terrible, but the Chris Benoit that was my hero is not the murderer Chris Benoit, but the wrestler.

I do not agree (from what I read) what this wrestler did, but the OP would like to remember the positive things, as this thread is intended and now marked as serious. This is the only warning, anything else pops up bashing the wrestler, which I'm sure there are many threads, will get banned in this one if you continue

The one thing I always felt about Benoit was that despite the fact that wrestling was scripted, Benoit made it seem so real. He never set up spots where the fans could tell was staged. Every move he did in the ring was as if he was in a true fight for survival.
Benoit sold like no other. Remember the MITB match when Finlay (I think?) smashed him in the arm with a chair? Benoit was writhing in pain to the point where even I was beginning to wonder if he was seriously hurt.WOOOO!

Hard to believe that this is really real. To tell you the truth I don't feel hate for Benoit. I am just hoping Benoit repented to God before he committed suicide.
I really enjoyed the best of 7 series Benoit had with Booker T and Randy Orton.
