Should I Do Cardio Or Lift Weights Even Though....

My back is f***ing killin me! I went to my high school's gym and while I was bending down to lift up the weights my back cracked. My back was hurting before I went to the gym, but I put ice & hot on it the other night and when I woke up it felt better so I decided to go. But I made a mistake by going, I won't go there till Im really sure my back is okay.

Im asking should I do cardio because well yesterday I ate alot like 3 pizzas and chicken wings, and now Im really feeling gulity about my self and was wondering if I should do cardio. If you suggest I don't do cardio, is there anything else I can do?

try rubbing an antiphlogistine on it and get some sleep. Stretch and do some moderate cardio and then decide if your able to do intense cardio to burn off your cheats.

Your spine is not something you want to compromise. You might consider getting it checked out, and adjusted if necessary.

Rest... and don't eat crap next time.. besides its kinda late to fix your diet mistake yesterday.

is it just back pain or does the pain go into your legs?

if just in your back you strained a muscle so let it heal.

if into your legs, herniated disc ... needs very careful
management ... ice, but you also need to move ...
work on core stabilization exercise (NO crunches, situps
    it will make it worse!).

if you need more info, i have 30 years of living with
herniated discs (mine blew at 13 the first time!!!)
    just ask!

Its only in my lower left back, and when I sometimes move my left leg it hurts. I won't do any cardio or weight lift till it heals up.

You shouldn't do anything too vigorous but the absolute WORST thing will be laying around doing nothing.

You need to get up and move around, do some very light cardio like walking at a slow pace, and some light stretching too after the muscles are warmed up.

You might look into some yoga, it's very therapeutic for such an injury.
