I use optimum nutrition pro complex too sometimes at night or during the day. It's great stuff. Add some peanut butter to it at night if you decide to go with this one and at least half a liter of milk or more if you can.
Hope this helps.

1. Who ever told you that you can get diabetes by taking Nlarge II at night, are simply wrong and should be ignored.
2. You should mix you protein powder in milk and even add milk powder to it. That would increase the casein portion of your drink.
3. Better yet, Eat a serving of meat before bed. Meat would take the longest to digest.

I take a PerfectRX Meal Replacement before bed, 37 grams of protein, 26 grams of carbs, 50% Milk Protein Isolate, 30% Egg Albumin, and 20% Whey Isolate. Along with it, 5 g glutamine, 3mg melatonin, Branch Chain Aminos, Phosphatidyl Serine, Vit C, and ZMA.

Hi Jeremy, whether bulking or cutting I like to take a mix of 70% casein and 30% whey right before bed. This is very slow digesting protein shake which is great at this point since you won't eat in 7 or 8 hours. You can get it at protein factory for a good price.

Antonio, I like the Optimum pro complex also. How do you feel about a shake in the middle of the night right during a bulking phase?
I think is perfect. I do it all the time. I always have a protein shake right before bed and leave another shake ready for when I wake up in the middle of the night. I wake up every night to use the bathroom and tend to take advantage and drink an extra shake, especially when I'm bulking. This has helped me a lot to get to where I am now. I started working out 14 months ago now and went from 160 to 224 pounds. I'm currently cutting(I started 4 weeks ago) and I'm at 212 or so now.
My advice is eat as much as you can; and if you happen to wake up in the middle of the night gulp down a whole shake. That's the only way to get big.
Good luck.

Taking a protein shake before bed is a great idea if you want to add body fat for weight, not if you want to add muscle. You should only eat something very light before going to bed because in 8 hours it will already be starting to form into fat and will be bad because its nor muscle.

Bro I would suggest that you do some research as your claim is absolute rubish. Adding muscle involves maintaining a positive nitrogen balance, and the only way to do this is to injest protein every 3 hours or so. When you prepare for sleep you are facing a period of time where you will not eat for 7-9 hours, this is bad as obviously it is too long to go without protein if you are trying to get bigger. You absolutely must eat a good amount of protein before bed to maximize your gains.
