Now we all know that working out itself does not stunt growth.. but why is it that everytime I see a person who started bodybuilding when they were really young, say 13 or 14.. they're always really short?
is it possible to grow muscles AND height at the same time?

Arny started working out with weights at 15. He grew to 6'2"...didn't stunt his growth.
It's being a part of the Red, White and Green that makes me a Rooting Machine. And when you feel my mighty Stallion, you will know you have been with a true Italian. :D

whoever tells you it cant is full of ****.
a kid at my school started lifting when he was fourteen and he was 5 feet 5, he is 20 now and hasnt grown a centimetre. he has been to a growth specialist and has been specifically told that the growth plates in his spine and knees were damaged from overstressing them by lifting when his body couldnt handle it.
his 2 little brothers are 14 and 15 and both over 6 feet tall.
put it this way, if you havent finished growing, you have a risk of stunting your growth from lifting weights. so be ****en careful.

BULL$HIT...if you work out with great form you shouldn't have any problems....however if you use crappy form u may get microfactures in ur bones which will prevent you from growing etc.
in any case...i started working out at 14...and i actually went thru an insane growth spurt DURING my early bodybuilding days....went from 5'5 to 5'8 in a year and a half...so don't listen to any1 that tells u just cuz u workout u won't grow tall.
i'm currently 5'11 and still growing(i'm 16 going on 17 btw)

I'm also 15 years old and I was growing a lot before I started working out and when I started I was meusuring my height i notice that since I started I was gaining weight but I wasn't getting taller and BTW its been almost 5 months and I didn't grow anything I'm going to try swimming thought to relax my bone and help them grow I am also planing on working out less
