    Just did a search for this and found:
    One chapati made without oil provides 102 calories, 4 g protein, 22 g carbohydrates, .5 g fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 3 g dietary fiber, 11 mg calcium, 122 mg potassium and 802 mg sodium.
    - this is for a 'normal' size chapati made from whole-wheat flour & water

    Cant find exact figures on that, but I'd assume that protein and fiber levels would be lower for ordinary flour, with more carbs per gram.

    Managed to dig this up-

    All purpose flour:
    Protein and ash typically run 11.00-11.80% (12.80-13.50% dry basis (db)) and 0.39-0.44% (0.45-0.51% db), respectively.

    Whole-wheat flour:
    Protein and ash content of whole wheat flours are typically 12.5-13.5% (14.5-15.7% db) and 1.20-1.40% (1.40-1.62% db) respectively.

    is 'chapati' on of those words that is spelt way different then pronoucned because i dont have a clue wtf your talking about lol

    sounds like a pancake or torttia or those french things i cant remember the name off...???

    Yeah, a chapati is kinda like an asian tortilla or pancake. It is typically made of just whole wheat flour & water. The dough is flattened into thin saucer sized 'discs' and then lightly toasted on a flat pan. - does that make it any clearer?

    Okay... let me see if I can explain this....

    Say a cooked chapati weighs 35 grams. Of that, assume 5 grams to be the water weight, leaving 30 grams of flour weight in the chapati. For whole-wheat flour, the protein content is about 13%, and 11.5% for 'normal' flour.

    13% of 30grams = 4grams
    11.5% of 30grams = 3.5grams

    So, a whole-wheat flour chapati has about 4 grams of protein, while a 'normal' flour chapati has about 3.5 grams.

    Remember - math can be your friend (knew my degree in mathematics would come in handy)

    It is actually a very thin bread made out of whole wheat flour. It is very flexible than our usual bread because it is prepared mixing the flour in water, properly grinding it and flattening it in round shape then heating it in a pan/griddle and fire. It is mainly an Indian cuisine and also called 'Indian bread" and is eaten with cooked vegetables.
