    Exclamation why is it whenever I train my calves

    If they are sore its only sore at the very top almost behind the kneecap? does this mean im doing something wrong?

    Well the gastrocnemius (calf muscle) originates from the condyles of the femur and the soleus (muscle under the gastroc) originates at the proximal (top) end of the tibia, both insert into the Achilles (Calcaneal) tendon.

    You may have some knots in your calf muscles. Perhaps try some foam rolling to loosen up muscles and fascia.
