If I was going to buy Steroids?

This is probably going to sound stupid but in the first time in my life I am going to start using steroids. I am moving away from competive Martial arts now and have found a new love. BodyBuilding! Now for the question. What is Safer from a legal standpoint? Buying Steriods from Mail Order (which have investigated but really am sceptical) Or buying them from the street. I have been offered to buy from a friend of a friend but I really dont want to get involved with this type of dealings in fear of being caught.
I figure this thread may sound silly but what the hell, these questions really have me pondering.

watch what you post in here..read forum rules. mail orders can be confinscated. if your buddy knows the other guy pretty well make a small order-try it out and i would say go that route

ehhhhhh theres alot of bad stuff out there so be careful with what you get on the streets you know

there are risks both ways...
in both cases there is the risk of getting real or fake gear.
with mail order you have the risk of having the gear seized by customs.
you also have the risk of someone sending you nothing, or not sending you what you paid for.

the only really safe way to be sure you get what you are expecting is to get a prescription and buy through a pharmacy, but not everyone can get on HRT...

Like said above, there are risks either way. Look at it this way though, if you are just buying for yourself you wont get in THAT much trouble if caught with it. Now if you selling/manufacturing that is where the DEA is concentraged on. Just be safe and use your head about it, if you have a bad feeling with something then dont go through with it.

When I read the rules I understood that there is no company naming. and I DO NOT want anyone to drop names or anything.
I appriecate your feedback on this topic because to be honest I feel really awkward talking about it to the guys I casually know at the gym. I am in no hurry so I am going to keep researching. The last thing I need to do is get arrested or buy something and make myself sick! A father of 3, married to a cop would not go over well!
