How do I look so far?
Had to lose a LITTLE bit of weight in the beginning....not a lot... but 2 years later, I'd like to think I'm doing okay... But I definitely want some feedback

The "crotch" and "pulling up my pants" was to show the cut of the abs area... And the dent? Gee, THANKS for noticing. HA HA HA

Not sure...somewhere in there....been a while since i've taken a tape measure to my arms. Will have to do that soon. The way I look at it, I'm at the very beginning now. I mean, I've been working out for 2 years, but I've started a new job, will be moving into a new place soon. Just joined a different gym, so I'm going to start getting serious with regards to foods and supplements. Haven't done any of that as of yet. No money to. So... Hopefully, I'll make some decent gains... Maybe even get rid of that "gap" in my chest. LOL.

thanks iLLz.. Honestly, I think it sort of looks worse (the so called "gap") in the pictures than it actually is. But I figure if I work on it enough... Anyone have an suggestions to build the so called "inner pecs" and lower pecs?

For 2 years training you look fantastic.
Your chest does look unusual, but you have compensated by building it quite thick so far. Inner pecs... flyes, pec dec, dumbell pullovers.
It would be an idea for future pics to wear a pair of posing trunks, and show the legs.
If your first 2 years have been basically learninng the ropes and now you're ready to "get serious" I think the sky is the limit for you. Very balanced and symmetrical physique, great delts arms and pecs, back needs more thickness but you'll do it

For only two years of work, you look great. Don't listen to the haters about your chest. I do see where you need to work on the outer sweep of your chest some. As for the "gap" in the center of your lower chest....while not common, it does happen genetically. It is simply due to where your lower chest has its insertion points. you could try to over come the shpae some by concentrating some on the lower inner chest but to some degree it will always be there. Over all, you have a great build. Keep at it.

I seriously doubt we'd have as many "helpful" replies to a photo posting,if the person providing the advice or comment HAD to post a pic of their own of the body part they're critiquing. You know...just for example on how to get it right.
LiftingHokie looks like you've got some nice mass and very low bodyfat. Whatever your goals are either way (cutting or bulking) your positioned to do either with little effort. As for working your lower back. WTF? Who's got striations like that after two years beside the professional lifters telling you you need to work your lower back.
I guess it all boils down to this. You're a fat mess and I hate you for it.

I was sort of thinking the same thing ProBuck. I mean, I'm by no means claiming to be "all that" and when I see the pics and look at like, Layne or Fletch, I know I have a lot to work on. But I didn't think I was THAT bad. The chest thing, is what it is, but I think it's something i can work on when I bulk/build up my chest more.
I think I've made some decent progress though. I'll try to find some old pics I have from 2 summers ago when I was fishing...
I started the gym in LATE, like, last week of October, 2002. Had been working out since. Except I took 3 months off earlier this year (January, February, and March) while I was doing some moving and getting used to a new area and looking for the right place to live and a good gym. So... A lot of the cuts/better muscle mass has just been since April. And of course, my diet is crap (my co-workers can't believe all the junkfood I eat all day) and I have yet to start taking any supplements. But I just started a new job, so the money will eventually be there for all that. I'd LIKE to get some thoughts from Layne, Fletch, and some of the other VETS on the board.

Nice to see someone with modesty. You're doing much better than ok and look better than most people on this forum.
Keep it up. You sure look like you know what you're doing.

I've gotten a couple of PM's about diet and splits and everything. See, the thing is, I haven't been able to follow all that. I was working a crappy sales/retail job before, so my schedule was all over the place, and I just went into the gym at some point during the day and worked what I hadn't worked before. I work chest one day. Back and shoulders the next, and then arms a different day. And then cardio on the following day. I need to work legs more, but it's hard because I have bad knees. I work abs every day, but have only been doing that since early August. I just have the metabolism of a champ, so I haven't had to work too hard at keeping the weight off these days. my diet sucks. In the morning, I raid the vending machines at work, and the afternoon i eat a grilled chicken salad from mcDonalds, and then at night, just eat whatever I feel in the mood for. So, I'm hoping, once i actually work to control my diet, become more disciplined, start buying some supplements, and work out a decent training routine, I'll see better results. I mean, I go 6 days a week to teh gym now, to, at the very least, work abs and run on the treadmill a little, but... I need to factor in more recovery time and allow my muscles to grow. I'm still too new at all this. While I've done my homework, and research, and know what i need to do, implementing it is a whole different story

You've done a phenomenal job so far. For only 2 years lifting, you're pretty damn big. Definitely be proud of your achievments. I think your back could use a bit more work. It could also be the way you pose. When you do a Rear Double Bi, spread your shoulder blades to show the width of your lats. That may help. And as you just said in your recent post, try to work more on legs. It'll give you better all around gains as well as give your physique a complete look. Just take it slowly since you have bad knees. Maybe get some knee wraps or something to help. Good luck.

Yeah, I was looking into the knee wrap things. I've also seen some guys use them on their elbow joints or what not when doing incline DB press?

I don't know about using wraps on the elbows, but there are special elbow pads that can be used (same with knee pads). Many people use them because they have lagging knee or elbow injuries.

awseome work man, how tall are you and how much do you weigh? I would focus on devloping your back, although your posing could really use some work.
and ps - **** all those bitches who could only comment on your chest - most of those 12 year olds would kill for your body

definitely looking good. you're well defined and cut.
and you must have been doing too many dips because your inner chest looks caved in. it might seem that way because the other parts of the chest are too big but I can't really figure it out.

You look really good bro. I wouldn't worry about your chest. As it gets bigger and bigger it may fill out almost to the point of it not being very noticeable. Not many people's physiques are absolutely perfect. Keep at it man and keep us updated on the progress.
