Tuna is very high protein, that's why it's good bulking food. You do want to eat protein?

    oats

yeah protein from tuna is great, no doubt.

but theres only so much your body is going to utalize threw p.synthesis into new muscle,

what you want is alot of oats, because the energy from oats i.e carbs and EFA's will help crteate the energy to make new muscle
P.s which is a hell of alot-hence the bulk.

plus its cheap and good for you, have it with milk

beans, legumes, certain grains help- pretty cheap
efa's in tuna are good so alot of sandwhiches

alot of bbq fish' beef etc etc

that post was a joke right? by what you said a noob can interpret that as eat tons of protein and not much calories. 1 can of tuna has like 100 calories or so which isnt much, by what i said i meant when you bulk you eat around 3,500-4,000 calories a day, so how is the amount of calories in tuna sufficient.

That post was a joke right? A standard 6oz can of tuna has 150-250 calories depending if it is in water or oil. A standard 6oz can of tuna also has around 35g of protein. In case you didnt know, protein builds muscle tissue. You tear your muscles while exercising, then you rebuild them through proper nutrition and adequate rest. Bulking isnt just eating 3500-4000 calories, which by the way isnt a staple number. Everyone has different caloric needs.

Salmon (full of 'good' fats which help the bulking process)
Milk (full of everything good for building muscle)
    Eggs
    Steak
    Turkey
    Lots of fruit and veg
    And fibre-dense foods, such as
    Whole-grain bread
    Oats
    Pasta
    Basmati Rice
    Sweet Potatoes
    Turkey

That's what I generally eat when bulking. Don't neglect the good fats.

White potatoes are only good post workout because they are high-gi. Yams/Sweet Potatoes are low-gi, therefore good any other time, like brown rice and oats.

The cheapest things I can think of are:

    Tuna
    Peanuts
    Sweet Potatoes
    Apples
    Bannanas
    Oats
    Eggs
    Milk
Whatever is on sale at your shopping place.

I'd also take a look around my favorite place in the world, if there is one near you: Sam's Club

    edit: 200th post!

I imagine sams club carries the same stuff as costco, and costco sales 5lb jugs of Adams 100% natural peanut butter, for like 6$.
