How important are lats for BB Bench?

I've been trying to figure out why I was stuck on bench for so long and now I'm exploding up. I started moving up a little bit after I started doing side and rear laterals, could this be it? But I also started getting the recommended amount of protein.

I know it could be both but how important are lats for BB bench? Thanks guys!

I'm betting it's your diet much more than your lats, but be sure to train them too, and on the same plane as the bench.

if your bench is stuck, eat a lot, and do enough weight that you can only do 3 or less reps
"No not at all, so that was what 250-260 grams protein, if you weigh 125 lbs its perfect, you want to move up in muscle mass, you need to increase it big time."

Your lats and your rear delts both play roles in the bench press.

    From your post, I'm confused.

Side and rear laterals train the delts. Are you asking how important the DELTS are or the lats? The lats are the latissimus dorsi, go from back of upper arm down to the mid back-waist area then the lower center of back.
