Is weight training a passion or sacrifice?
Whatever it is I do it.

I'll go with Sherk but all of the title holders have been falling as of late. Definitely will be a good fight though.

I want Franca to knock out that little ****ter Sherk.
Either way, it's gonna be a good fight.

Sherk by decision. maybe tko. Franca is amazing on the ground, and there's no doubt that Sherk is gonna put him on his back. It just seems like Sherk is to physically imposing for Franca to be able to do anything. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if Franca pulled off a submission win.
Does anybody else think that the winner will fight Fisher next?

Well Fisher did just lose a number one contender match (to Franca) so I think he'll need more than one win to earn a title fight. What about BJ (assuming he beats Jens, which he should)? If he decides to stay 155, I could see him dominating either one of them.
Or, if BJ decides to go up to heavyweight or whatever crazy scheme he has next, another win for Huerta tomorrow could warrant him a title shot.

BJ Penn, if he would get serious about training and lay off the dope for a few months, could be the Grand Emperor of 155, assuming he gets past Jens.
It'd be interesting to see him and Sherk go at it. Probably how the Franca fight will go, but Penn is way better off his back.

Well Sherk is like a poor man's Hughes. I don't mean that as an insult to Sherk either, as I'm one of the biggest Matt Hughes fans you'll find, but it's true. He's a little better at the standup, but in every other department he's just a smaller, weaker, less talented version of Matt.
And BJ has absolutely tooled Matt for 1.5 fights. So, I'd be pretty confident putting money on BJ if that fight ever came into play.

He is obviously weaker and smaller. He's a light weight. But if Sherk isn't so great against Hughes, how come he took it to 5 rounds (5 minutes each round) and it came down to decision?
And Hughes is the man. BJ lost fair and square and got KO'd.

He definitely lost fair and square. Once you step in the cage injury doesn't count as an excuse. That's why I said he tooled Hughes for 1.5 fights and not 2. And you can't argue that during the first fight and the first half (well 2/3 technically) of the second fight BJ was straight up owning him.
And I never said Sherk is absolutely horrible... I still think he's the second best in the division after Penn (if you count BJ as a lightweight that is), but his strengths (wrestling, grappling, cardio) are Matt's strengths. And while it's not a huge gap, Matt is slightly better at all of them. Yes Sherk has better standup, but for a fight against BJ that won't make any difference whatsoever since there's no way Sherk is gonna trade with BJ other than to set up a takedown.

I want franca to win.
Ever since Sherk clapped with Matt Hughes over GSP getting KTFO, i've lost all respect for him and think he's a sorry champ.
I hope franca wins, but Sherk i think will get the boring 5 round decision.
