Dang, you must've been under a rock.
We've had 2 major hurricanes and a tropical storm in the last 5 weeks.
1. Tropical Storm Bonnie in early August hit the panhandle of FL.
2. Hurricane Charley (Category 4) went through the center of the state on August 13th, causing over 6 billion dollars in damage.
3. Hurricane Frances (Category 2) was the size of Texas and affected the ENTIRE state (from Jacksonville to the Keys), and caused power outages to over 5 million people and an estimated damage of over 10 billion dollars. That one hit on Labor Day weekend.
We're now waiting for Hurricane Ivan (Category 5) to pass us. It really gets nerve wracking. A lot of the food stores keep running out of non-perishable items like bread, water and canned foods, and the gas stations are all running out of gas as the storms approach and people fill up or evacuate.
If prayer is something you do, pray for us, ok?

I still wish it would hit down south between Palm Beach county and Extreme south Dade county. That way the company I work for would have some work to do with all the rebuilding.
