Where a Prohibited Substance (as listed above) is capable of being produced by the body naturally, a Sample will be deemed to contain such Prohibited Substance where the concentration of the Prohibited Substance or its metabolites or markers and/or any other relevant ratio(s) in the Athlete's Sample so deviates from the range of values normally found in humans that it is unlikely to be consistent with normal endogenous production.
A Sample shall not be deemed to contain a Prohibited Substance in any such case where the Athlete proves by evidence that the concentration of the Prohibited Substance or its metabolites or markers and/or the relevant ratio(s) in the Athlete's Sample is attributable to a physiological or pathological condition. In all cases, and at any concentration, the laboratory will report an Adverse Analytical Finding if, based on any reliable analytical method, it can show that the Prohibited Substance is of exogenous origin.
If the laboratory result is not conclusive and no concentration as referred to in the above paragraph is found, the relevant Anti-Doping Organization shall conduct a further investigation if there are serious indications, such as a comparison to reference steroid profiles, for a possible Use of a Prohibited Substance.
If the laboratory has reported the presence of a T/E ratio greater than four (4) to one (1) in the urine, further investigation is obligatory in order to determine whether the ratio is due to a physiological or pathological condition, except if the laboratory reports an Adverse Analytical Finding based on any reliable analytical method, showing that the Prohibited Substance is of exogenous origin.
In case of an investigation, it will include a review of any previous and/or subsequent tests. If previous tests are not available, the Athlete shall be tested unannounced at least three times within a three month period.
Should an Athlete fail to cooperate in the investigations, the Athlete's Sample shall be deemed to contain a Prohibited Substance.

Unless the Athlete can demonstrate that the concentration was due to a physiological or pathological condition, a Sample will be deemed to contain a Prohibited Substance (as listed above) where the concentration of the Prohibited Substance or its metabolites and/or relevant ratios or markers in the Athlete's Sample so exceeds the range of values normally found in humans so that it is unlikely to be consistent with normal endogenous production.
The presence of other substances with a similar chemical structure or similar biological effect(s), diagnostic marker(s) or releasing factors of a hormone listed above or of any other finding which indicate(s) that the substance detected is of exogenous origin, will be reported as an Adverse Analytical Finding.
S3. Beta-2 Agonists
All beta-2 agonists including their D- and L-isomers are prohibited. Their use requires a Therapeutic Use Exemption.Currently on Defranco's Built Like A Badass.

NCAA Banned-Drug Classes 2007-08
The NCAA list of banned-drug classes is subject to change by
the NCAA Executive Committee. Contact NCAA education services
or www.ncaa.org/health-safety for the current list. The term ?related
compounds? comprises substances that are included in the class by
their pharmacological action and/or chemical structure. No
substance belonging to the prohibited class may be used,
regardless of whether it is specifically listed as an example.
Many nutritional/dietary supplements contain NCAA banned
substances. In addition, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) does not strictly regulate the supplement industry; therefore
purity and safety of nutritional dietary supplements cannot be
guaranteed. Impure supplements may lead to a positive NCAA drug
test. The use of supplements is at the student-athlete?s own risk.
Student-athletes should contact their institution?s team physician or
athletic trainer for further information.

As an exception, formoterol, salbutamol, salmeterol and terbutaline, when administered by inhalation to prevent and/or treat asthma and exercise-induced asthma/broncho-constriction require an abbreviated Therapeutic Use Exemption.
Despite the granting of a Therapeutic Use Exemption, when the Laboratory has reported a concentration of salbutamol (free plus glucuronide) greater than 1000 ng/mL, this will be considered as an Adverse Analytical Finding unless the athlete proves that the abnormal result was the consequence of the therapeutic use of inhaled salbutamol.

I've had 3 NCAA drug tests and at least 5 done by the UW. The NCAA tests for all of the hormone related drugs and a profile of other drugs. The school tested for illegal recreational drugs. The NCAA testing is a pretty intense process, and you can get in censured just for not following their exact instructions, where you have to pick up the cup with one hand with the other one open and showing, put stickers everywhere, sign over the stickers, pee with no hands, etc. It was pretty funny the first time I did it, but they take it very seriously. One thing you really have to watch out for is caffeine, since it is in so many products and it will F you over in a heart beat. I was flagged for my caffeine concentration being too high, and almost got banned for a year. I (being a retard) drank a Rockstar when I woke up, because the drug testing is always at 5:00 in the morning when your pee is most concentrated. Also, don't try to mess with the concentration of your pee (it has to be over 1.200 specific gravity) because they get really ticked and make you stay until you can pee dark yellow.

Oh yeah, I shouldn't do this, but here is what we are referred to for drug testing in the NCAA... Pick your division in the dropdown list, and the passwords are: ncaa1, ncaa2, ncaa3, for their respective divisions.

yea, they have a muscle milk collegiate mix. i think its odd, but at least they make somehthing because they recognize something in their product is illegal for NCAA supps. i think its actually very responsible for them to do something like that. there are so many things that people take that contain substances that they dont know is illegal.
The strong do what they can, the weak do what they must

It's not that there are ingredients in the products that are NCAA illegal, rather it is the make-up of the product that is 'illegal' for NCAA. There is a certain concentration ratio (protein to product weight) in supplement powders that the NCAA allows the school to supply to their athletes. Athletes can still take the other version of Muscle Milk at their own expense. EAS and a couple other brands also have university/college versions of their supplements.

Oklahoma Reports Using Two Nutritional Supplements Banned by NCAA
Both supplements were given to athletes before the mistakes were detected
June 12, 2007
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Football players at Oklahoma were given two nutritional supplements banned by the NCAA before the school's compliance department detected the error and stopped the practice.
According to documents obtained Tuesday through an open records request by The Associated Press, Oklahoma self-reported to the Big 12 Conference that it committed a secondary violation of NCAA bylaws last fall by providing "two nutritional supplements that contained impermissible substances."
Oklahoma blamed one violation on a nutritional company inadvertently shipping a banned substance it identified as "an identical product bearing the same name" as a legal product that had been ordered by the university. In the second instance, Oklahoma reported the football program's strength and conditioning staff failed to review the ingredients of a new nutritional supplement.
Both supplements were given to athletes before the mistakes were detected during a routine check by compliance staff. The remainder of the supplements were returned to the company that provided them.
The report did not identify the supplements, what amount was used or how much was sent back. Oklahoma spokesman Kenny Mossman said he was unfamiliar with the supplements and was not able to comment on the situation.
NCAA bylaws allow schools to provide "only nonmuscle-building nutritional supplements" that give athletes additional calories or electrolytes.

Creatine and glutamine are both legal as long as you pay for them yourself. The NCAA doesn't allow schools to buy anything other than certain protein/weight gain powders(must be below a certain protein:weight ratio) and electrolyte replacement powders. I didn't have any problems with things like Animal Stak2 with the drug tests, but those are the types of supp's that might get you in trouble.
