I know most people here just go and do exercises....so far in my experience I do as well. However, I was looking at the possiblity of starting a different program, and was considering both Hypertrophy-Specific Training(HST) [
www.Hypertrophy-Specific.com] and Static Contraction Training(SCT) [
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/sisco6.htm]
My goal is size more than anything, actual strength isnt really important to me, although I'll appreciate the strength t hat comes with size.
I've done research on both of these, although I've never done either of them.
What are you opinions, which one is a better option? Does SCT truly work for size, or just isometric strength? It is currently the most appealing, but still holds somewhat of a "too good to be true" label....shorter time in the gym and greater gains? Hard to swallow without seeing some proof that is provided via a source other than the author.
Dont give me a lecture on "be hardcore, lift raw, 6 sets of 30 with 400lbs, 8 days a week" or anything stupid, im asking about opinions on these two programs, not a criticism of my thoughts of trying one of these programs.
Thanks for the help
