Every time you skip leg day, you lose a chunk of your brain.

Had leg day yesterday.
Love training legs so I don't need to get my self "pumped for a legday" since I'm already "pumped" for it even some days before.
It's true.
My leg day yesterday: (It was really heavy)
Squat x 6, x 5, x 6
Leg press x 4, x 6
Stiffleg 2 x 6
Calf raise in machine 2 x 8-10
Calf raise in leg press 2 x 8-10Last edited by nWe; 06-19-2007 at 09:09 AM.
Go heavy and hard

if youll just start doing them as hard as everything else youll start enjoying them more...
once i realized the huge pump i could get in my quads if id actually push myself on legs days i started to really enjoy it.
but seriously just take pride in what youre doing...why waste your time in the gym doing something half assed when you can do it right and get a lot more out of it?
legs are the biggest muscle group, putting on muscle there will help keep your bf% down since youll be burning more calories, also increases testosterone levels...if you want to have a good upper body youre gonna need a lower body to support it...not to mention dont you want to look proportional???

Legs would have to be my favorite day(serious) because nothing feels better then an all out leg day.
How do i get pumped up? loud music, and staring the bar down, like i'm telling it "thats right, you're my b****"There is no reason to live if you cannot do the deadlift
big fuzzy and tator squat to much..... not

I'm like this too. We probably don't like doing shoulders because they're a much less consequential muscle group than legs.
I love working legs and there's no muscle group I'd rather have than huge legs, the problem I have with them is finding out how to vary my leg workouts with different exercises (I find myself just doing squats and leg press, then feeling confused as to what to do next).
I need to learn how to do jump squats and pistol squats.

It's been said, but a lot of times I fear doing legs because they are such a large muscle group.
An easy leg workout will always be harder than an easy chest workout, a hard legworkout will always be harder than a hard chest workout, etc.
I know that even when I feel ****ty I can usually force a decent chest workout, but I cant do the same for legs... I have to feel it. But when I do, its the best feeling in the world right after.
Well I'm off, squats ftw

Get yourself into the gym, drag yourself there, the motivation shouldnt be a factor once you are around the weights, its not like you're going to run away from them, you're there go do it.
I lift in my garage, so i could very well just walk out however, I've watched Mike Miller squat a few times (youtube) before leg day to make myself feel like i have something to prove...to whom i have no idea.2 years
Starting weight/height = 119lbs / 5'8"
Current weight/height - 185lbs / 5'8"
Bulking 'til 230lbs or when the Buffalo Bills have a winning season. Whichever comes first.
Step 1) Pick up a weight and a small farm animal.
Step 2) Lift one and eat the other.

Matt Kroczaleski is a beast, he has a 30 Wide grip chin video out on youtube as well where the form nazis actually try and say he is cheating himself, made me laugh. 2nd strongest man in his weight class, EVER, cheating himself by not doing full range of motion, as if these kids know whats going to work for him that he hasn't figured out yet. /rant2 years

Going to kill my legs about 1 hour from now. About to prepare my purple drink and get my playlist ready. Can't wait to start it off with 3 sets of 5, heavy ATG squats. Then I kick it up a notch with explosive box squats. Then I take my squats to an even higher level and do some jump squats. Gotta get that vert up baby. After this, I stagger over and rep out with my Stiff Legged deads. Then from there, single leg on the leg press, super setted with calf raises on the leg press. I finish it off with some lunges and the calf machine.
I ****ing love leg day.
