    RE: leg routine

At any rate...i wouldn't try verticle leg presses. These cause too much pressure build-up in the head and you could rupture a blood vessel in your head or worse in your brain.

45 degree is much safer but still has the same possiblilty (you would REALLY have to be pushing).

As for the leg routine. I allways think of leg presses as a bodybuilder exercise. I only need strong (and thus big) muscles for better preformence in athletics. If this is also your reason for having stronger muscles...then i would not do leg presses because they are a waste of your time. Stick with squats and power cleans if you are going for maximum athletic preformence.

If you're a professional bodybuilder then you are on steroids or a large assorment of "suppliments" (or both) and you probably want to do lots of volume.

If you bodybuild "for fun" ... then you're crazy...but everyone needs a hobby, right? And i would go less volume and stick to three good exercises per muscle group.

You're an idiot. Squats add more mass to your legs than leg presses.

And I doubt most of the people hear are on gear.

And Next time don't make a new thread for one that already exists.

yes leg presses are good also but they come 2nd to squats in my opinion as well as many others, but yes leg presses are still a VERY good exercise

Sorry -T-, but leg press is as effective as squats and both should be part of an efffective leg routine, not in same session.

It sounds like you really look down on the sport and not providing any supportive, positive advice.

Are your methods more for powerlifting?

My meaning is that they work together, do not eliminate one or the other, they target the muscle just a little bit differently. Read between the line. Squats are the daddy builder, but leg pressess will make them that much more if they are incorporated.
