college life...

Im about to head off to college and as far as diet goes I know Im gunna have trouble in that area. I dont think Im gunna have the money to be stocking up on steaks and chicken breasts at the grocery store. My meal plan only gives me about 3 meals if im lucky at the cafeteria. 3 out of my 6 meals might have to be protein shakes. Is there a huge disadvantage in not consuming enough solid foods?

As long as you're getting in enough calories, you should be alright. Also, it's actually cheaper in the long run if you buy stuff like chicken breasts in bulk instead of just buying it weekly.

Tuna, PB, Chicken Breasts.

Not expensive at all man.

Also mini-fridge + tupperware + nalgenes + cafeteria + backpack = unlimited food.

Just take containers to the caf, load up on milk, pb, meat, put it in your backpack and take it back to your fridge.

Thats how I roll...
