I weigh 171lbs, 5'10"
I pretty sure too much fat is not good, so that is why I'm thinking about drinking skim milk instead of 2%. But if I do that, I will then have to increase the amount of milk I drink to meet my needed calories for bulking, but that will obviously make my proteins/carbs intake increase as well....
I heard the recommended percentage of fat in a bulking diet is 20%, which is where I'm at, but do you think 70grams is too much? My diet overview is:
(the average of workout/nonworkout)
cals - 3100g (a little more than 500 above maintenance)
fats - 70g (20%)
carbs - 370g (42%)
proteins - 275g (38%)
Oh, and here's a view of my workout day diet:

(Bulking) Is there such thing as too much protein/carbs? And should I change to skim?

I have a similar breakdown of carbs/fat/protein, but I eat at least twice the # calories you do.

Hm, actually, I've only been on this diet for a week, and I've gained a pound or two......not sure if it'll continue.
Anyone have an answer for my topic..Started: May 3rd, 2004

What the hell? Your breakdown is nowhere near mine.....

Your macronutrient breakdown looks good, but I would definitely switch to skim milk. Dairy fats are not good. Instead, just add the amount of fats that you lose by switching to skim back into your diet from flax and fish oil. That will maintain your macronutrient ratios and give you much better fats in your diet.A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

You can purchase combo oils or seperate. I use fish oil capsules and flaxseed oil, so I buy them seperate.
As far as how you take it, some people use it as a condiment, but I just pound it down by itself... It's not my favorite part of the day.A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man.

Olive oil is a good healthy unsaturated fat, but is not that great from an omega acid standpoint. It has none of the important omegas that flax and fish oils do. Feel free to cook with it though! lol.
