Just Watched Tears of the Sun.... GOOOD movie
After seeing many people of teh Misc recommend Tears of the Sun as a good movie to everyone, I decided to give it a watch(yes first time), and I have to say that I was very impressed. Bruce Willis is a hell of an actor. TotS is definately a GOOD movie. Recommend it to everyone.
Also would like to inquire about other war movies. What are some other good war movies that I might have missed? Sniper movies too So far I have Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Tears of the Sun, Shooter, Sniper, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, 300, Gladiator(not really war but whatever), and Behind Enemy Lines. I might have a few more but I can't think of them at the moment. Good war movies are the best movies to watch IMO. Just trying to add some more to my collection Much appreciated

Didnt know how to play it, but he knew for sure
That one guitar, felt good in his hands
Didnt take long, to understand
Just one guitar, slung way down low
Was one way ticket, only one way to go

I agree.
Just not the best story in the world, but a good movie anyways.

I recommend "Apocalypse Now."
Best war movie, in my opinion.

Forgot about Troy! Can't believe I forgot about that one. I've heard of the Professional, I'll check it out.
I forgot Braveheart too

The Band of Brothers series is the best I've seen on WW2 in the European Front, based off of Easy Company of the 101st. Airborne. It's a heck lot more intense than Saving Private Ryan.
Another one you should check out is the "Over There" series on the war in Iraq.
Other good ones are:
Flags of our Father
Letters from Iwo Jima
When Trumpets Fade
Brotherhood of War
The Thin Red Line
The Patriot
The Longest Day
Kingdom of Heaven

It was a cool movie, bruce willis is awesome. Why do you disagree?

What's it about? I've heard of it.
I liked Jarhead. Added to my list.
And TotS wasn't cliche

Just another Vietnam movie but with someone of the greatest actors around. It's also directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the man who wrote and directed the Godfather series.
Just so happens to be the best written story, also one of the best acted movies I've ever seen.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0078788/
Just look at the cast.

The best part of the movie is when Eamon Walker (the black guy) cathces the militia guy raping the woman, so he shanks him in the gut. Intense stuff.

I haven't heard of most of those movies. I have Flags of our Fathers and was going to get Letters from Iwo Jima, but isn't that in subtitles? The Patriot OWNS
Aaron, I'll definately check it out. Marlon Brando FTW

I wouldn't recommend "The Thin Red Line" as it's story is really drug out and slow.

I agree. First he lifted him up with his hands around his neck. Eamon Walker is a GOOD actor too. He played in the Oz series and in Lord of War(AWESOME ****ING MOVIE) as the African dictator.

Excellent.
The story is very deep. Although, with the actors in that movie, it's like The Godfather but with war.

Well then check them all out. You're not a war movie fan if you haven't watched Band of Brothers. Letters from Iwo Jima is in subtitles. Brotherhood of War is too. The Longest Day is a classic on the D-Day invasion. The Thin Red Line captures the battles in the Pacific during WW2 . Sean Penn's in it. And Kingdom of Heaven is a hell lot better than Troy. Troy royally sucks actually if you're familiar with Homer's stories and Trojan War. When Trumpets Fade is better than Saving Private Ryan imo.

I just HATE subtitles I can't stand them. I hate reading outside of school/work. I'll check 'em though. Thanks

Schindler's List, Glory, Hotel Rwanda. I never saw it, but I read the book Jonny Got his Gun and I know they made a movie out of it. May not be the same title.
