    Hot foods digest much easier.

If the food you are eating is pre-cooked then it's okay.

There should be a difference in temperature, but that's just an assumption on my part.

That may depend on your definition of "cold." Room temp food (which may be "cold" in this case) is much more likely to be home to some intestinal nasties that'll make you sick. Danger zone: 40-140 F (4.4-60 C). That's the only thing I can think of.

well...if COLD water raises your metabolism (your body has to use energy to heat the water you ingest) then I'm imagining cold foods would have a similar effect.

Also, if you believe in the glycemic index, I'm wondering if uncooked fruits and vegetables (I guess cold) might be lower GI?

I think there will be a very small difference, if any, though. It matters more what you eat, not how you eat it. lol but still cook your meat before you eat it.

The whole Cold water thing is discusses like this. Right when you get up in the morning, if you drink a glass of ice cold water, you body will burn calories to change the temperature of the water. Not sure if that stands for the whole day or not.

Fruits and Veggies most of them anyway already have a low GI, so cooking them like on a grill, or oven, won't break up the carb profile enough to raise the GI.

I would cook meat before i eat it. BUt personally i dont like the microwave. so i would use an oven or something. I would heat it up just to be safe of bacteria and other harmful substances
