    how tight should your lifting belt be?

    is there a way any of you can suggest how tight i should put on my lifting belt? should it just fit snugly?
    tryin to make some steady progressive gains...seems to be workin.

    Make it tight but not tight enough that it's tough for you to breathe.

    I usually use a belt on squats, deadlifts, powercleans, and standing military presses.

    u gottta put it real tight, because, it has to support the lower back. no point putting it loose.

    at the same time, don't be silly and put it tight till ya can't breathe.

    on squats i like to tighten it as much as i can by myself....and somedays ill get it to tight...were when u go down u cant get air in ur stomach or something...but yeah..tight enough so it dosent fall down to ur waste or something...
