    some weightlifting terminology

any lift from the hang is that lift, but with the starting position having the bar from about knee height.

the opposite to stuff from the hang is from the ground, which is the normal position

power lifts are those where you do not catch the bar in a full squat position.

the opposite to a power lift is a squat or full lift.

Eg. power snatch is where you catch the bar high, and not in a squat position. By default it is from the ground.

power snatch from the hang is where you start your lift from the knee height, and then catch the bar high and not in a full squat position.

    Hope it helps

    Everything he said, but:

A full lift is when you go past 90 degrees to recover the bar and bounce up. A power lift is where you don't go past 90 degrees. It is a BAD idea to catch a lift at 90 degrees and try to force it up. Hard on the knees. If you catch a bar near 90 degrees, then ride it down and come back up. It's safer this way.
