    Military Press before bench/push-ups

    Is doing a set of military press prior to your bench/push-up set a harder/better pec workout?
    Well that's my 2 cents atleast.

    you will limit how hard you can push your chest because your delts/tris will be too fatigued.

    do chest first, then delts, and tris last.

    ok, so since emphasis has been put on the shoulders, it will steer them away from being the limited factor of your bench-press movement (in the future)?

    if you feel shoulders are your weak point in bench, then yes, do military press first.

    but if you are trying to improve your bench - then bench.

    Push ups are actually better then bench press(I know it's hard to believe). A recent study has shown that push-ups activates your pecs,triceps and even your shoulders more then a bench press. That's why a guy that can do a lot of push ups can bench more thn a guy who just benchs and can't to push-ups. I have been doing push ups for years now, without doing any bench and the first time I did a bench press(a week ago) I ws benching 265 with ease. I only weigh 165 and benched 265x10(it's amazing I know). This fact and the study prove that, the old saying bench is better than push ups is false and an old wives tale, good luck and take what I said into account if you really want to get big and ripped.

    Yes, exactly. Guy says the first time he bench pressed was a week ago. He sends us to a youtube video posted in June (belonging to an account with a different name, but let's assume he just made different usernames), and there's videos on this account of the user bench pressing over a year ago.
