Ok currently im not cutting but I have a question. When ever I try to lose weight I do successfully. About 1-2lbs a week and what not...But i've went on 2 cuts in my life..one I've lost 30lbs another I lost 20lbs. But each time it just seems like I look the same..body fat wise but just shrink down overall. It's kinda hard to explain but if anyone understands what im talking about and could offer some explanation or advice that would be great thanks.

Yep, it is simple....you are cutting the wrong way.
The reason you lose weight but it just seems like you shrink, it is because you were mostly losing muscle.
Most of that 20-30 lbs was muscle. Not a good thing at all.
You will end up being skinny fat.
Now I need you to find your maintance calorie and cut 500.
go to www.fitday.com and enter everything you it. Should amount to about 500 calorie less to your maintenance.
Also make sure to eat 1g of protein for each lb you weight
Finally find a great working routing and lift heavy. I mean push your body to the limit at which point your muscles will have to grow and built.
Wish you the best.My journal:

Corrections, you are 5ft8 and 157 lbs, so you are already "skinny fat"
I take the cut back.
You need to go on a bulk and eat 500-800 calories above maintenance.
Make sure it is a clean bulk, good food that will not add to much fat and some nice descent size, mass.
Also, lift like you never lift before. My journal:

If you're worried about it (not sayin you are, jus sayin), try only doin the 500 above on trainin days. Do 200-500 under on off days (true off days though, hard cardio counts. At least for base line caloric intake).
It's commonly refered to as the zig-zag diet. Works for adding clean bulk for 90% percent of the pop. in my experience.

Thanks for all the answers...but im not cutting...wasn't thinking about it, just had a question. I am actually clean bulking right now... But I don't think I was losing muscle cause I was losing the 1-2 suggested lbs a week and was still keeping very high amount of protein in my diet ,probably about 1.5g per pound and was still lifting heavy and all that. But anyways I think I remember reading that there is a bf% range like 13-19 or something around that, where you seem to just shrink down and not make much improvements (look wise) but after you break outta that % you really see the difference. Can anyone shed some light on that? Thank you!
