Obesity related illness will account for more than 1/2 of all health care costs in the next few years.
So why is the damn government waging war on the FITNESS Industry??

Still an open rack, but the spotter arms allow for max bench press attempts and rack deadlifts.
Again, I prefer to do squats either in a full power 'cage' or in a rack like this http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/pro93170.html
when you've got over 200kg up, you don't want to fail without a generous "catching" area.
BTW: when ScottyAx800 said "Those home gyms are the ****"
that means he likes them a lot...
Good luck, I know it is sometimes easier for us in the USA to find this equipment for less money.

Originally posted by f*cking ecto ok thanx a lot ctgblue. It's hard to find a "power cage" here, but I keep trying. LOL yeah, I know now what he meant, I just read his post to fast peace
I read his post too fast the first time also, that's why I clarified it. That site has a power cage for sale in the professionell section http://www.helisports.nl/nl/fitnessa...en/rekken.html
Unfirtunately, it is twice as expensive as here in the states.
BTW most of that stuff is marketed as "body solid" here in the USA, except that cage looks to be a little different.

thanx again ctgblue, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I can't find a good power rack on the internet in my country which has a good price. I wish they had the price of the ones in the USA.
Otherwise I can search for one in the neighboor countries like Germany, but the shipping costs will be very high I guess...
I will see...Again thanx for searching!
Look around in the "for sale" pages of the big city newspapers, there are usually a lot of people selling equipment, also look for small gyms that are going out of business and clearing out equipment.

Originally posted by Adam W I like the look of the Body Solid Pro Power Rack. Looks solid and can hold a lot of weight. What do you guys think? The link is below, but it probably wont work. I cant figure out how to savce the page and attacth it as a file. http://www.bodysolid.co.uk/asp/produ...rchFor=&PT_ID=
It looks solid, however, my local dealer has all of this stuff and I prefer the regular power rack: http://www.bodysolid.co.uk/asp/produ...rchFor=&PT_ID=
It allos you to work outside the cage to do stiff leg deads from the pegs as well as curls etc and is much easier to adjust. They are basically the same strength but the basic rack is much more like what you find in a gym, only lighter.
All in all decent solid stuff for the money.

I agree with ctgblue... if you get a simple cage, and a floating bench that is capable of incline/flat/decline you will get much more versatile equipment than if you buy that open rack.
I have a cage, which I can squat inside of... it has a chinup bar (which I rarely use). I also use the cage for straight bar curls, barbell shrugs, upright rows and plenty of other things that arent squat related.
If I push my floating bench in there, I have incline decline and flat benchpress. It is self spotting too, if you get that style.
