Gymnastics and Flexibility
I would like to know what kinds of excercises are used in Gymnastics?
I hear that it's mainly one weight (body) and many repititions. Is this true?

that would depend a ton upon the event and gender you're talking about.

so you want the exercise forum to teach you to dance in tights on a bouncy floor?
The floor exercise isn't specific exercises at all. It's flexibility + strength.

I always wanted to date the baton girl from some college band. Never had the chance though, never met one. Too late now.

I think that would require countless hours on the hip adductor and abductor machines

Ex Gymnast here..what specifically are you asking..what they do for each event:bars,floor,vault,beam.??..we had specific strength training exercises prior to training each event...i am not sure specifically what you are asking but lots of chinups, hanging leg raises, some weight training, flexibilty..then each event had its own set of exercises.

Gymnastics conditioning is a lot of body weight and hard work. But if you're not a gymnast it wont help with your goals because they don't add size. If weights is the only thing you do stick to that and add a few body weight exercises like push ups and pull ups. Those are crucial to any regime I would say
