same thing happened to me once...
I put extra weight on (more then usual) and I went down to low.. I felt a pop in the center and I was hatin life.. I didn't do dips or any chest movements for about a week. I refrained from dips for about 3 weeks.. I'm all better now.. I rather be out of the game for a few weeks then out of the game for a few years or possibly even longer and have the rest of my life effected as well.
