Hi guys,
I'm a 14 year old boy from Australia. I have read a lot about bodybuilding and powerlifting and after all the reading ive decided i just want to tone up a little. My parents have allowed me to buy protein and creatine and i have a healthy diet. my questions are....
1. Should i focus on just doing none core exercises?
2. Does cardio affect the bodytype?
3. will the supplements i take help me achieve my goals or are they just for getting bigger?

you make it sound as if getting huge is easy, if it was then everyone would look like bodybuilders.
You should train hard and not neglect any exercises and once your satisfied with your size just try to maintain, you've come across a good forum and I'd take advantage of the info here, and don't worry about getting huge overnight because it doesn't work like that (in my experience anyway)Today I will reject mediocrity. low carb. high ghey.

Probably so he could register for the site.
Btw, you said youve read up on alot of bodybuilding stuff? Yet you just want to 'tone'? I did a paper on bodybuilding and half the stuff I found was about how toning is just a myth.
Start reading more about how to put on muscle everywhere and start with a good program and dont neglect anything. The 'toned' look you are seeking is just a matter of having low bodyfat, you wont 'get big' over night.Excellence is the result of Caring more than others think is Wise; Risking more than others think is Safe. Dreaming more than others think is Practical and Expecting more than others think is Possible.

Dude, lift as much as you can, if you think you're too big, stop lifting and just do cardio. Chances are, you'll never look in the mirror and say, "Wow, I've got too much muscle" That just doesn't happen.
If you are 14 - just exercise - a lot - play sports - swim - hike whatever.oh and gecko that link did not contain answers only the search page - swiftness_02

Harsh but somewhat true. Although the most unknowledgeable of lifters can get 'huge' when they've been training for years.
If I was 14, I would definitely be playing team sports, excelling at these sports and getting involved in the community. I wish I had put more effort into sports.
Play sports, wait a few years, start lifting heavy with a balanced diet and regime, and you'll be much better for it.

if you don't know a whole lot about bodybuilding yet just search for a begginer full body routine and stick with it, getting huge won't heppen on accident and with more muscle it will make you more impressive when "cut"
you wanna know how i did it, this is how, i never saved anything for the swim back.
