1.Guys who will be on the same machine the whole time you are there when you want to use it.
2.People who stare at you waiting to use what you are using
3.Really old and really young peple.

-They big older dudes that take my EZbar from me in the middle of my Curls and don't give it back
-Our rival football players from a neighboring town that show up to our local gym with their PURPLE letterman jackets
-The big guys(with no courtesy) that walk away from their bench or squat rack when they're done, but don't bother to take the 405lbs offIf the bar ain't BENDIN', you just PRETENDIN'-HLC
I rep back

Well I would expect a 16 yearold to lift at a school gym. If you're at your school gym and you have 10 years running around in it, you either better a) make sure your in the right place b) learn to pass school.
I doubt you're going to see five 10 yearold kids running around the local YMCA's weight room also.

I don't lift @ my school gym. and I was just saying that as an example for the above posters who said they hate young people at teh gym...I myself rarely see any kids running around at my public gym.
But yes, I've seen 10 year olds unattended at my gym from time to time.
Also, why would you expect a 16 year old to lift at a school gym? My school gym sucks bro, I lift at a public gym which has more equipment...makes sense no?

Well for most 16 year olds they don't have jobs to pay for a gym. So unless they have rich parents their not going to really be able to afford a gym.
3 years ago when I was 16, there was NO gym around here for a person that was under 18 to sign upto. My school gym was extremely ****ty too, but hell all you really need is a bench press, a squat rack, and a barbell with alot of weight. Getting fancy with a billion different machines to work xxx body part at a xxx angle and xxx longitude with this type of pulley really doesnt beat the basic free weights.

Yah...well... maybe you're right. It's only $4.55 for drop in and I'm too poor to afford a membership. Maybe i'll take your advice and start lifting at my ****hole school gym. (No joke, but everything is falling apart..and i've even suggested to start a fundraiser to get better equipment) oh well.
P.S by the summer, i'll be working so I'll probably spend some $$ for a membership at the public gym...since..well...where else will I be able to workout right?
