    Creatine while cutting??

Whats the verdict on creatine while cutting? Studies say you experience fat loss on creatine, but something like Cell Tech always makes me retain water and just get...for lack of a better word....swoller.........i dont mind when im bulking up, but i dont want that effect when im cutting up....so would another type of creatine help me more, or no creatine at all? What do you guys think??

    Thanks!

Creatine allows you to work a bit harder in the gym by helping replenish the energy pathways that allow for musclular contraction. It is especially beneficial when cutting, as it allows you to keep your performance up while on a restricted calorie diet.

Some creatine products (like CellTech) are mixed with simple sugars (or other carbs) to help increase transport into your muscle cells. These can be detrimental to one trying to lose weight.

A better alternative would be to take a creatine product like Creatine Monohydrate or CEE which does not have extra calories. This way you can get the benefits of the creatine without any additives that might slow your fat loss.

I use creatine all the way up to show day. I believe Layne Norton or Beast have an article on this. Look up their name and check it out. Creatine Mono not the ones like Cell-Tech with sugars. They are not good for cutting.

I agree with Dan ^^^^. I would add, that in some people creatine mono can cause bloating.

Also, I mean no disrespect, but please read my post from another creatine while cutting thread 4 days ago:

Again, those were just the threads in 2007, so far, that have creatine & cutting in their thread title. There are a few more pages to go, but I have done enough work on this topic for the OP. Hopefully in the future the search this forum feature will be utilized more.
