Resistance bands yay or nay?
I got introduced to resistance bands ( www.jumpstretch.com) a month or so ago by another guy at the gym at my college. I bought a set and find them to be an interesting workout. Any comments on their effectiveness or training methods anyone has used them for?

are you only using bands? they are good to work on last part of moves (lock out on bench, etc). but you should be using weights too if you are not

I would like to know this too.
Am going overseas and will take them with me. How good are they? How do I do squats with them?!

i like them
i have been using the bands for about a month now. they say use for a month then back away for a month. my bench is still going up. i had a rough plateau at 275 but these bands helped push through it. i say stick with them.

I love bands. There are so many exercises you can do with them but the jumpstretch are too expensive. I bought the Ironwoody bands instead.

I pretty much only do resistance training,,, with a chest expander and bands.... I tied a band to my push-up bars and use it like the Power Push-Up... I definately notice results...
I imagine I could get bigger using weights, but I don't really have the space for them (or the money for gym dues), and besides, my goal isn't really to get that big anyhow. I guess it all depends on what your goals are... but for me, I love the resistance stuff...
