My 20 rep squat experience
Yesterday was the day. I went to the gym and psyched myself up in the bathroom for 15 minutes. I was just sitting starring at myself in the mirror and yelling and yelling. "NO QUITTING. FAILURE IS FOR PUSSIES. I WILL NOT BE A PUSSY AND FAIL. I WILL DO THIS OR I WILL DIE TRYING! AHHHHHRRRGGHHh!!".
After that - I was in the zone.
I walked up to the squat rack and breathed in deeply. Unlike other days, today I viewed it not as a machine to help my physical development but as an enemy that must be crushed. I envisioned in my mind the squat rack and I thought of my beloved mother underneath it screaming for help. In my thoughts I pounded home the thought that I must do battle with this squat rack, I must do battle with it in order to save my loved ones. If I failed, they would be the ones to suffer the consequences. "I WILL DEFEAT YOU!", I yelled, "YOU CAN NOT WIN! DO YOU HEAR ME!". I was livid and bursting with adreniline and hatred. I would need every ounce of it for what was about to come.
Collecting myself, I as calmly as possible racked up a mild amount of weight for a warm up set. Even though I was pressing more weight than most men can max out, it felt like nothing was on me. I was too psyched.
After the first warm-up came the second. Then the third. With each new set a pair of 45s was placed onto the rack and by the end an impressive amount of weight had been levied onto the squat rack. The warm-ups were over. It was now game time.
I stood back and once again gathered my energies. The time for me to enter into battle was now apon me. My attention was diverted, briefly, as I heard a plastic bottle crash on the ground. I looked behind me and some dude had dropped it. He sat agap, eyeing all the weight on the squat rack and it had mesmirized him. I let out a loud laugh, the laugh of a man possessed! Throwing back my head, I cackled with insane glee and at that moment the man simply shook his head in disbelief and awe. I knew lesser men would not be able to comprehend my commitment and my intensity and I basked in this direct confirmation of that which I had already known would be true.
And so, like that, it began...
Rep One:
The weight pressed on my shoulders heavily. I knew this would not be easy but at that time I erased such thoughts from my mind. I would not let failure enter into my consciousness. I would not fail. I lowered the weight and pressed it upwards.
Rep Two and Three:
I could already feel my muscles engorged with blood from the previous rep and the warm-ups. It felt good. From behind me I heard the man muttering in disbelief but I focused and let him and everything else fade from my mind. It was now just me and the squat rack. My mortal enemy. I would not fail.
Rep Four and Five:
Is this getting heavier? ... NO, I WILL NOT ALLOW IT TO GET HEAVIER, I WILL NOT FAIL, I CAN NOT FAIL, I MUST WIN... that is all that went through my mind. My breathing was now growing heavier as my body screamed and begged for more precious oxygen to fuel it for the enormous task ahead of it.
Rep Six, Seven and Eight:
I found myself letting out an audible, "ARGH!" with each successful rep. My legs now felt on fire and the once heavy weight on my back now felt as if it were bitting through my traps.. and into my very soul. Still, I continued on.
Rep Nine and Ten:
The weight pressed down. I press up. The battle between man and machine is on and neither man nor machine look to be giving an inch. I feel tension building in my gut, every part of my body feels as if it is being blown up like a balloon. Every vein grows and grows... blood is rushing to my legs and I begin to see stars. For a moment everything goes black... I gasp for air and continue. This battle has just begun. "AGHHH!", I yell and push upward.
Rep Eleven and Twelve:
My bowels let out an loud trumpet, "Bleeeup!" but I did not care. Every ounce of my energy was focued on one thing and one thing only, lifting the weight. I let all other bodily functions to their own means and did not exert an ounce of my efforts to curtail them in any way. My legs were now numb with pain and I found myself gasping for air. My heart was jumping like a frog in a frying pan and the veins in my neck looked as if they were about to explode. Somehow, I continued.
Rep Thirteen and Fourteen:
With each rep I manage to press up I am now screaming at the very top of my lungs, "AAAGGGGGHHHHhhhHHHH!". A crowd gathers around me, stunned at the display before them. My legs feel like anchors, burning and numb. I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My eyes are bulging, looking as if they are ready to pop out of my head. My face is a red mask and there is an expression of intensity on me that defys description. I am hurting but my screaming deafens out the pain and I press on and on. A woman is crying, and saying something.. what is it? "Stop! Please, stop!". I ignore her pleas. No weakness. No weakness. I must continue, I must not fail... I somehow scream even louder, so loud now some in the crowd cover their ears. This yell lets them know I will not quit and I shall not fail. I press upwards and move forward in my goal to win.. Win... WIN!!!!!!
Rep Fifteen and Sixteen:
I am now screaming non-stop, only breaking to gasp in air. Whether I am pressing up or not - I am yelling to focus my power and my energy. Snot drips from my nose, my eyes grow misty and hazed as my vision begins to fade in and out. On my sixteenth rep I felt a spray of fecal waste fire from my pants like a missle fired from a cannon. The crowd screams in terror, knowing how intesne this is. They know there will be only one victor here. A thick, warm liquid drips down my pants but I can barely feel it as my legs are bulging masses of nothing more than numb pain. I press on and will not allow anything to come between me and victory.
Rep Seventeen and Eighteen:
I have no recollection of this. My mind blanked out completely.
Rep Nineteen:
I view myself in the mirror. I am drenched in sweat and I think I see blood dripping from one ear. One of my eyes has puffed up to the point it can barely remain open. The other is simply a scarlet orb. A puddle has formed underneath me of sweat and various other bodily liquids. My face is beet red, veins engorged to the point of comic proportions. Words can not describe my legs, they are too far gone. My lower back screams in pain as the muscles there contract and cry out as they are stretched beyond their limits. My vision is clouded with sweat and continues to fade in and out. I hear now people begging me to stop. I do not. I will not fail. I can not fail. I must not fail....
Rep Twenty:
My voice was now hoarse from screaming. The world was blacking out all around me. My heart felt as if it were about to burst from my chest. Behind me I heard a woman sobbing and screaming, begging me to stop. I would not stop. I somehow managed to summon the energy I needed and with Herculean effort pushed upward.
I had won. With the weight racked, I fell to the ground, unable to move. I then vomited and passed out.
... and I can't wait to do this again next week!
YEAAAH!

Did you really do that in the gym, screaming vomiting and passing out in front of everybody must have been a weird experience?
I don't think I would be able to do the same unless I was by myself at the gym.
How heavy was the squat?

Really though, how much weight did you do man? I can do 225 for 20 reps and that is pretty rough.

Let's get this straight:
1) You pissed on yourself
2) You made your ear bleed
3) You made your eye swell up
4) You puked
5) You passed out
6) and the funniest of all, which just shows that this is fiction, "A woman is crying, and saying something.. what is it? "Stop! Please, stop!". I ignore her pleas."
If it's true, 20 rep squatting is NOT supposed to be like that, get some ridilin.

i'm really not at all impressed by all this 'hardcore' attitude.
you've been reading too many animal adverts. acting like this doesn't make you at all 'cool', it just makes you stupid.
not only did you over-phsyic yourself, but i can tell that you are one person that takes it too seriously.
your probably one of those people that are gonna skip thier prom night just because its legs day.

lol funny story. I knew it was fake from the beginning..right when he said he was in the bathroom screaming at himself. Noone does that. It got funny when he said he started farting uncontrollably and then he started having anal discharge attacks If that really happened he would have ****ing stunk so I doubt a crowd would be anywhere near him..lol at the woman crying for him to stop.

hahaha that was funny! well written. Some of it is true, the pain and farts and stuff. But most of it was bull****. If i **** myself or farted, i would probletly laugh and drop the weight or rack it ASAP. When i lift(squats), it gets to that point where it hurts like hell and it is the last one where i try so hard and i slowly creep up with my last energy and rack it.
