    Lat exercises ... with free weights?

    are there any?.. :S I looked through the exercise database but all I could find was machine pulldowns and stuff ... other than chin ups are there any other exercises I can do at home?

    I'd say bent BB rowing is nearly if not as effective for the lats as chins/pullups. It also gives your rhomboids, inner traps and rear delts a fair workout, moreso than chins.

    Start light and watch your form, always be wary of your lower back. Go for a grip about shoulder width or slightly wider for comfort, safety and maximal lat recruitment.

    1-arm DB rows are also a good alternative, and easier on your lower back, but I find it's less obvious when you're cheating on form with these.
